The Senior Manager of Packaging Strategy is an exciting opportunity to shape the future direction of McDonald's portfolio. This role involves working cross-functionally, with team members throughout the organization and global markets to gather insights, develop packaging product strategies, and create mid- to long-term roadmaps. The Senior Manager will identify opportunities to meet future demands, set the portfolio strategy for packaging products, and guide markets in modernizing the portfolio. Key responsibilities will include driving innovation and focusing efforts to strengthen the category.
The role will sit within the Global Strategy, Transformation, and Growth team, particularly under the Core Sr. Director, Global Packaging Innovation & Growth
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ORGANIZATION

  • Develop processes and tools to gather data and actionable insights for the creation of value driven roadmaps
  • Partner with markets and/or regions to gain intel to create strategies and innovation that works broadly for majority of markets.
  • Creating new processes to ensure visibility, capture and report insights from markets, plus automation of product information.
  • Translate strategic business objectives into product roadmaps that fulfill unmet needs and promote category growth, while balancing risk and time horizons.
  • Create insights and direction out of the information
  • Prioritize areas of focus, working and partnering with supply chain on delivery
  • Present strategies to leadership and regions
  • Evolve the process and adapt the process as it matures
  • Establish process governance that considers internal and external stakeholder engagements, conflicting business priorities and communication strategy


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE

  • Work with cross-teams to gain insights and critical information
  • Ability to work with data and details
  • Capability to turn data into insights, then strategies and direction
  • Communication skills to message data, strategy, insights, direction to teams, leadership, and client
  • Experience in supply chain and familiar with packaging technologies and product category, 5+ years of experience
  • Strategic thinking and ability to connect dots
  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making
