JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Manager, Finance Business Partner provides financial leadership, insight, and guidance to selected EMEA disciplines, supporting funding sources including Net Admin, Sales & Marketing, Loyalty, Program & Services, PSF, and Shared Services. Working closely with Continent Leadership, Continent Finance, and HQ-based Finance Business Partner teams, the role leads financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support business objectives and decision-making.
Through strong partnerships with Finance and discipline leaders, the role delivers financial management, analysis, and recommendations that support operational performance, accurate reporting, and enterprise goals.
The role also partners closely with the Finance Business Process & Transformation team, serving as a finance subject matter expert and change leader for enterprise-wide transformation initiatives. This includes collaborating with business stakeholders and EMEA and global project teams to support the successful delivery and adoption of assigned projects.
In addition, the role serves as the Finance liaison between HR and payroll teams for designated office locations, ensuring payroll governance and compliance with Marriott Payroll SOPs through review and approval of payroll reporting, process alignment, and control enhancement activities.
SCOPE/BUSINESS CONTEXT/EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS
- Partner with the Continent Accounting Team to oversee accounting, reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis activities supporting assigned disciplines.
- Monitor funding requirements, cost allocation methodologies, and recovery positions, providing financial analysis and recommendations to support business decision-making and stakeholder inquiries.
- Apply knowledge of ASC 606 and relevant governance requirements to support accurate financial reporting, including EMEA Program & Services reporting processes where applicable.
- Partner with Accenture Hospitality Services (AHS/MBS), Global Finance, Continent Finance, and other stakeholders to deliver financial reporting, analysis, and operational support.
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends and variances, provide actionable recommendations, and support leaders in addressing business challenges and opportunities.
- Develop and enhance reporting tools and processes to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and transparency of financial information, funding, and cost reporting.
- Lead the execution of annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes, including preparation, consolidation, variance analysis, and reporting for Finance leadership.
- Serve as a trusted finance advisor to business leaders by providing financial insight, guidance, and ad hoc analysis on key operating and strategic issues.
- Support the implementation of new finance processes, systems, and tools, ensuring adoption of best practices and continuous process improvement.
- Provide coaching and guidance to team members where appropriate, supporting knowledge sharing, capability development, and organizational effectiveness.
- Act as a change leader and finance subject matter expert for EMEA and enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, partnering with project teams to support successful implementation, training, deployment, and change management activities.
- Serve as the Finance liaison for payroll governance across designated office locations, reviewing payroll reports, supporting payroll controls, ensuring compliance with Marriott Payroll SOPs, and conducting payroll audits as required.
- Identify and implement process and control improvements that strengthen governance, streamline operations, and enhance efficiency across the organization.
- Monitor spending against budgets and funding levels, identify risks and mitigation actions, and support effective financial stewardship across assigned disciplines.
- Develop and maintain documentation for key finance processes, controls, and procedures.
- Support month-end close activities, balance sheet reconciliations, quarterly reporting requirements, and other business priorities as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support business objectives.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Minimum five years of financial management experience with a track record of delivering business results.
- Experience in complex data analysis, financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Strong business and financial acumen, with solid knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex information and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Ability to effectively present financial information and recommendations to senior leaders and diverse stakeholder groups.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust, influence decisions, and drive alignment across teams.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver results in a complex, fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working in a matrix organization, leveraging shared resources and collaborating across functions to achieve business objectives.
- Demonstrated learning agility, adaptability, and comfort navigating complexity, ambiguity, and change.
- Strong service orientation with a proactive and continuous improvement mindset.
- Advanced Excel proficiency.
- Knowledge of Marriott accounting practices, funding procedures, and governance models preferred.
Education or Certification
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field preferred
