We are seeking a Senior Manager, Corporate Communications, International to spearhead integrated external and internal communications for WeWork’s priority United Kingdom and Ireland region, while working closely with the regional and global communications team to shape corporate and product messaging, executive thought leadership, public affairs, and strategic partnerships. This role will provide dedicated senior Communications leadership for UKI and serve as a key communications adviser to UKI leadership and the International President, with select responsibilities across Europe. 

This role is pivotal in driving WeWork’s communications strategy, solidifying the company’s reputation as a leader in the future of work and commercial real estate. This individual manages high-profile initiatives, cultivates key media relationships, supports internal communications initiatives and amplifies successful member and market stories. The role requires strong strategic thinking, exceptional communication skills, and expertise in stakeholder engagement. It will operate as a peer to other regional Communications leads, with autonomy over UKI strategy and execution within the global framework.

In this role, you will work with the Head of Global Communications to develop and lead/execute comprehensive external communications plans for UKI-based corporate, sales, real estate, product and overall brand initiatives. You will contribute to key internal communications moments, including regional Town Halls, and provide strategic support, while also adapting external communications content and global priorities for internal and locally relevant channels. The role will also partner closely with the Senior Manager overseeing Continental Europe to align regional priorities, share market insights and coordinate communications activity across international markets.

Corporate & Brand Communications

  • Develops and executes comprehensive and proactive external communications plans for global and UKI-based corporate, brand and product initiatives, translating global priorities into locally relevant strategies.
     

  • Drafts compelling press releases, pitches, talking points, and other materials. Manages UKI media strategy and relationships, secures interviews, and prepares spokespeople, notably the International President, UKI leadership, UKI-based General Managers, and the real estate team.
     

  • Contributes to building core company messaging and narrative, adapting it for diverse audiences. Distills complex topics into clear and concise communications for media, customers, and stakeholders.
     

  • Builds a consistent pipeline of UKI market stories and develops locally relevant stories for global amplification.
     

  • Develops and executes an integrated UKI internal Communications rhythm and leads regional Town Hall strategy and execution.
     

  • Partners closely with the Senior Manager overseeing Continental Europe to maintain alignment across UKI and Continental Europe, identify cross-market storytelling opportunities and lead or support consistent execution of broader European Communications priorities as appropriate.
     

  • Partners with Head of Global Communications on 

Executive Positioning & Thought Leadership

  • Contributes to CEO and executive communications strategies locally and regionally, and leads thought leadership campaigns for the International President, UKI leadership and General Managers. Facilitates on-the-record, background and off-record reporter conversations for executives.
     

  • Provides senior communications counsel and support to UKI leadership and the International President.
     

  • Elevates executive profiles by preparing them for speaking opportunities and developing compelling presentations.

Sales and Real Estate Communications

  • Leads communications plans for UKI-based sales and real estate initiatives (building openings/closures, landlord partnerships, deal announcements, etc.) and supports global projects.
     

  • Develops and distributes global communications to landlord audiences. Leads the production of a quarterly, global landlord newsletter.
     

  • Drafts communications for broker audiences and provides speaking points for executives. Consults on the sales/marketing broker newsletter.

Member Communications

  • Develops and executes strategies to highlight member success stories and build brand advocacy.
     

  • Identifies and cultivates relationships with members for storytelling opportunities and creates communications plans to share member stories through media outreach.
     

  • Creates and manages member communications templates for building exits and updates. Crafts bespoke communications for unique building exit scenarios. Develops crisis communications plans and supports crisis response efforts.
     

  • Manages local and regional issues and reputation matters, establishing clear protocols for local response and global escalation.

Miscellaneous

  • Supports team organization and development.
     

  • Coaches and mentors direct reports (when applicable).
     

  • Manages PR agency relationships (when applicable).
     

  • Oversees and approves external case study participation.
     

  • Supports communications efforts and strategies tied to WeWork led events. 

About You

  • 8+ years of experience in corporate communications, PR, or public affairs, ideally within dynamic, high-growth industries.
     

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, global environments with evolving priorities.
     

  • Demonstrated expertise in both proactive media engagement and reactive crisis response.
     

  • Strong writing and storytelling skills across formats (press releases, op-eds, speeches, etc.).
     

  • Experience supporting senior leaders, managing media relations, and leading communications campaigns.
     

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and translate complex topics into compelling, accessible messaging.
     

  • Experience using AI tools to support research, media monitoring, content development and communications planning, with sound judgement around accuracy, confidentiality and appropriate use.
