Job Description

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Legal Counsel to join our Legal & Contract Management team based in Farnborough, UK. In this role, you will contribute to defining and implementing legal strategies across our global businesses, leading high-stakes transactions, project execution, dispute management, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Risk & Strategy Leadership: Partner with business leaders to identify, evaluate, and mitigate legal risks across diverse global business transactions.
  • Contract Negotiation: Structure, negotiate, and document complex international and domestic agreements with customers, sponsors, financial institutions, and suppliers.
  • Dispute Management: Drive and resolve high-value dispute management strategies across multiple international jurisdictions.
  • Team Guidance: Lead and mentor Contract Managers on both sales and project execution matters.
  • Compliance & Governance: Champion corporate compliance through advice, investigations, and training while providing solution-oriented counsel on governance matters.

    Qualifications

    • Legal Credentials: Law degree from an accredited university (Bar admission is highly advantageous).
    • Industry Experience: 5+ years of professional legal experience within an international law firm or the in-house department of a major global corporation.
    • Sector Expertise: Proven experience in the infrastructure, power generation, waste-to-energy, or large-scale projects sector (O&M and long-term service contracts preferred).
    • Contract & Claim Mastery: Strong background in drafting complex project agreements, joint ventures, and handling project tendering/execution claims.
    • Communication & Travel: Fluency in English (German is a plus), exceptional negotiation skills in multicultural environments, and the ability to travel at short notice.
