As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the enterprise Technology team, you apply deep knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Continue to evolve your technical and cross-functional knowledge outside of your aligned domain of expertise.
We are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to manage our Cisco VPN infrastructure within the End User Compute organization. This role is responsible for the design, implementation, and operational excellence of enterprise VPN services that enable secure remote connectivity for our global workforce.
Job responsibilities
- Applies technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope
- Drives a workstream or project consisting of one or more infrastructure engineering technologies
- Works with other platforms to architect and implement changes required to resolve issues and modernize the organization and its technology processes
- Executes creative solutions for the design, development, and technical troubleshooting for problems of moderate complexity
Strongly considers upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications and advises on mitigation actions
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
- Experience with Cisco Remote Access VPN
- Hands-on expertise with Cisco ASA, Cisco ISE, Cisco CSM, Firepower/FDM, FTD/FMC
- Experience with SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) solutions
- Experience with ZTNA (Zero Trust Network Access) technologies and architectures
- Experience with routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, etc.
- Experience with security protocols such as IPsec, SSL/TLS, RADIUS, TACACS+, and others
- Experience with any of the following network automation tools:
- Ansible (with Cisco modules)
- Python (Netmiko, pyATS, Paramiko, Nornir)
- Cisco Network Services Orchestrator (NSO)
- Cisco DNA Center
- Terraform (with Cisco provider)
- Cisco Prime Infrastructure
- Familiarity with Splunk, ThousandEyes, EPA
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience with PQC (Post-Quantum Cryptography) and advanced security concepts
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Cisco certifications (CCNP Security, CCIE, etc.)
- Working in large enterprise environments
Cloud networking experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Experience with hybrid connectivity models and SD-WAN
