We are looking for a Senior Kubernetes Engineer (Flexibility Linux Platform), based in Barcelona, Spain (hybrid mode of working).
Role Summary
As a Senior Kubernetes Engineer (Flexibility Linux Platform) you will design and build a turnkey on-prem platform used in on-premises, hybrid and air-gapped environments with deployment flexibility in mind.
You will focus on reliability, automation, lifecycle management, and operational simplicity turning Kubernetes-based infrastructure into a seamless product experience. This is a hands-on engineering role with strong technical ownership and influence on architecture, quality, and engineering standards.
What You Will Do:
- Design and evolve a production-grade software appliance
- Build reliable install, upgrade, rollback, and recovery workflows
- Create automation and guardrails that simplify operations
- Develop backend services and APIs (REST, gRPC, OpenAPI)
- Improve observability, resiliency, and operational safety
- Support air-gapped deployments and offline upgrades
- Collaborate with product, support, and customer-facing teams
- Help shape engineering practices and technical direction
What You Bring to the Team:
We are looking for a senior engineer with strong experience building complex backend, infrastructure, or distributed systems. If your background aligns with many of the areas below, we encourage you to apply.
- Strong software engineering experience in backend or systems development
- Experience working with Kubernetes and containerized environments
- Solid understanding of Linux systems and production operations
- Experience with Docker and infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible
- Familiarity with API design and contracts (REST, gRPC, OpenAPI)
- A focus on reliability, maintainability, and product quality
- Clear communication and collaborative problem solving
