The role of Senior Project Manager at JCDecaux UK is responsible for leading high-priority, complex projects that support key business objectives. This position, located within the Business Transformation department of the Technology & Innovation division, reports directly to the Business Transformation Director (BTD). This role involves direct oversight of large-scale compliance projects.

What you'll be doing...

Project Management

  • Lead and direct large, complex projects with accountability for successful delivery.
  • Full budget ownership and financial reporting oversight of CapEx and OpEx project spend.
  • Develop and enforce project management methodologies, setting standards for team practices.

Business Analysis

  • Oversee detailed functional specifications and design system improvements.
  • Partner with business units to refine objectives, analyse current practices, and recommend solutions.
  • Lead strategic analysis to resolve high-priority operational challenges.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with executive stakeholders, influencing business decisions. 
  • Represent the project portfolio at senior levels, managing communications and expectation alignment.
  •  Negotiate and manage conflicting stakeholder priorities with senior leadership.

Quality Management

  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by examining all outcomes of processes and implementing improvements regardless of the outcome's nature.
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Ensure adherence to SOPs across departments, ensuring they are auditable, and that any non-adherence identified during audits is addressed with timely corrective actions.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to IT and data management.

People Management

  • Line Management: Managing a small team, ensuring that project tasks are being completed efficiently as well as other non project administration tasks.

Personal

  • Extensive knowledge of programme and portfolio management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage and influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of financial controls and budget management at a portfolio level.

A little bit about you...

  • Educated in a Business, IT, or engineering-related field or possesses significant relevant industry experience managing a technology function.
  • Advanced project management qualification (e.g., Programme management qualification) or equivalent relevant experience.
  • ITIL, TOGAF, or equivalent enterprise service standard qualification or relevant experience is advantageous.
