The Senior HR Coordinator is a key member of the Global HR Shared Services team, responsible for delivering high-quality, efficient, and compliant HR operational support across multiple regions (Primary UK/EMEA). The role acts as a subject matter expert for core HR processes and serves as an escalation point for complex employee lifecycle activities, supporting employees, managers, HR Business Partners, and Centres of Excellence.

The Senior HR Coordinator plays a critical role in driving service excellence, supporting digital transformation initiatives, identifying process improvements, and ensuring consistent application of global HR policies and procedures. The role also contributes to key global HR cycles, including performance management, salary reviews, promotions, talent processes, and workforce reporting.

In addition, the Senior HR Coordinator supports the development of junior team members by sharing knowledge, providing guidance, and promoting best practice across the Shared Services function.


RequirementsWhat You'll Do:

Service Delivery and Operational Excellence

  • Act as a senior point of contact for complex HR queries and employee lifecycle transactions, ensuring high levels of customer service and accuracy.
  • Manage and resolve escalated HR cases within agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Monitor workload and case management queues to support achievement of team performance targets.
  • Identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities to improve service delivery and employee experience.
  • Build effective relationships with managers, employees, HR Business Partners, and Centres of Excellence across all regions.

Employee Lifecycle Management

  • Lead and coordinate end-to-end onboarding, employment changes, and offboarding processes across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Ensure employment documentation is prepared accurately and in compliance with local legislation and company requirements.
  • Oversee background screening, right-to-work and compliance checks, ensuring adherence to local regulations.
  • Coordinate benefits administration and leave management activities for designated countries.
  • Support global mobility activities, including visa and work permit administration.
  • Manage complex employee data changes and contractual amendments.
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, systems, and processes.
  • Support HR Business Partners with employee relations administration and documentation where required.

Support to HR Centres of Excellence

  • Coordinate key annual HR activities including salary reviews, bonus cycles, promotion processes, performance reviews, and talent management initiatives.
  • Support reward-related activities, including market benchmarking, compensation analysis, benefits reviews, and salary survey submissions.
  • Produce and maintain partner and leadership reports, organisation charts, workforce analytics, and governance documentation.

Data, Reporting and HR Systems

  • Act as a super user for HRIS, ServiceNow, and other HR technologies.
  • Ensure employee data integrity through regular audits, validation activities, and proactive issue resolution.
  • Identify data quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Support system testing, upgrades, process enhancements, and implementation of new HR technologies.
  • Provide training and support to users on HR systems and self-service functionality.

Continuous Improvement and Project Support

  • Lead and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and employee experience.
  • Review, develop, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), knowledge articles, and process documentation.
  • Participate in regional and global HR projects, supporting implementation and change management activities.
  • Analyse existing processes and recommend improvements, automation opportunities, and best practice solutions.
  • Support communication and training activities relating to new processes, policies, and system enhancements.
  • Share expertise and coach less experienced team members to strengthen overall team capability.

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure HR processes are executed in accordance with local employment legislation, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal and external audit activities, providing documentation and evidence as required.
  • Monitor compliance activities, including right-to-work checks, document retention, data privacy requirements, and policy governance.
  • Support statutory reporting and country compliance requirements.
  • Escalate risks, control weaknesses, and compliance concerns promptly and appropriately.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and ongoing review of HR policies, procedures, and governance documentation.
Who You Are:

Essential

  • Significant experience in an HR administration, HR operations, or HR shared services environment.
  • Experience managing end-to-end employee lifecycle processes across multiple countries or regions.
  • Strong working knowledge of HR systems, preferably D365 HR, ServiceNow, or similar platforms.
  • Proven ability to manage complex HR processes whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends and recommend solutions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement.

Desirable

  • Experience supporting global HR processes and operating within a multinational environment.
  • Knowledge of employment legislation across multiple jurisdictions.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) or working towards qualification.
  • Experience coaching or mentoring junior HR team members.
