About Nothing

Nothing exists to make tech feel exciting again.

We’re building a different kind of technology company, one that puts design, emotion, and human creativity at the heart of everything we do. From the way our products look and feel to how we communicate and show up in culture, we believe technology should make you feel something.

Founded in London in 2020, we’ve grown from idea to global challenger in just a few years. Backed by GV (Google Ventures), EQT Ventures, and C Ventures, and investors like Tony Fadell (iPod), Casey Neistat, and Kevin Lin (Twitch), we’re now sold in 40+ markets with millions of users worldwide.

About the Team

The Global People team is the co-pilot to the business leaders making the magic happen, from cutting-edge AI and Product Design to Marketing and Finance. We are not a traditional HR function; we are a small, sharp, and highly strategic crew moving at the speed of our product roadmaps. We exist to build the structure and incentives that allow Nothing to scale without losing its soul. We don't coast; we tackle massive organisational challenges every day. We are the architects behind the scenes, ensuring that as we grow globally, we remain fast, independent, and relentlessly focused on building better tech.

What You'll Do
  • Act as the strategic partner to HQ leadership (Marketing, AI, Legal, Finance), translating commercial roadmaps into pragmatic people strategies that drive actual business outcomes.
  • Lead complex organisational design and change projects, defining the spans, layers, and structures needed to scale fast-moving product teams without adding corporate bloat.
  • Design and implement high-stakes compensation and incentive schemes directly linked to KPIs like product launches and sales targets, ensuring we reward high performance.
  • Build robust, data-backed business cases for headcount and costs using advanced financial modelling, giving senior leaders the evidence they need to make decisions.
  • Serve as a trusted coach to executives during high-pressure moments—from product launches to corporate shifts—providing clear, calm guidance on crisis response.
  • Manage global strategic projects including M&A integration and international mobility, handling the complexity of a business that operates across borders.
  • Drive talent density and performance standards across your functions, ensuring we retain the "challenger" mindset and avoid the drift toward legacy tech complacency.
What We're Looking For
  • Strategic Depth: You bring 10+ years of experience in HR Business Partnering within fast-paced tech or consumer electronics, with a history of translating business goals into people action.
  • OD Expertise: You have an expert-level command of organisational design and change management, with a track record of restructuring teams for speed and scale.
  • Data Fluency: You possess advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modelling; you can build complex dashboards from scratch to prove the ROI of your people strategy.
  • Total Rewards Knowledge: You have solid experience designing commercial-linked compensation plans and know how to use incentives to drive behaviour.
  • High Resilience: You are not "glass-hearted." You thrive in ambiguity, take ownership of difficult decisions, and remain calm when the pressure mounts.
  • Direct Communication: You speak plainly and with intention, capable of holding your own with C-suite stakeholders and delivering hard truths when necessary.
  • Pragmatism: You avoid HR jargon and buzzwords, focusing instead on delivering useful, hands-on solutions that solve real business problems.
How We Work

We build better tech by moving fast. That speed demands direct collaboration and shared creative energy. We believe the best work happens when we're together.

  • Location: London (Kings Cross & Farringdon offices).
  • Working Pattern: This is a full-time, in-office role (5 days a week). We move fast, and that means being physically present. We design flexibility around personal needs, but we focus on the magic that sparks when we’re all in the same room.
  • Commute: We ask that you live within a 60-minute commute of your home office location.
