Senior Head of Investor Relations
Overview
Lead the company’s engagement with shareholders, debt investors and rating agencies, acting as the primary external interface for the capital community. The role owns the company’s financial and strategic narrative, ensuring clear, consistent and credible communication aligned to corporate strategy and performance. Working closely FP&A, Treasury, the Comms Team the wider Finance leadership team, the postholder ensures alignment between internal planning and external messaging. The role plays a critical part in maintaining stakeholder confidence and requirements and supporting the company’s funding and capital strategy.

What you’ll be working on
• Act as the primary point of contact for shareholders, debt investors (bondholders) and rating agencies, managing ongoing relationships and messaging.
• Own and continuously refine the company’s equity and credit narrative, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy.
• Lead the preparation of investor presentations, results materials, briefing papers and comprehensive Q&A documents.
• Ensure timely, accurate and consistent responses to shareholder, investor and rating agency enquiries.
• Define, agree and maintain stakeholders reporting requirements and ensure meeting this requirements in a timely manner. Ensure reporting is aligned to debt documentation obligations.
• Ensure shareholder reporting requirements are delivered accurately and on time
• Lead rating agency interactions, including annual reviews, ad hoc updates and RES/RAS processes including preparation of materials, answering relevant Q&A and liaising with Treasury and Head of modelling for preparing and providing models.
• Translate financial performance, forecasts and strategic initiatives into clear, concise and compelling external communications.
• Ensure alignment of messaging across Corporate Finance, Treasury, FP&A, Business Finance and Executive leadership.
• Support capital structure initiatives, financing activities and refinancing processes, ensuring external communications are aligned.
• Provide financial insight and support for shareholder strategic initiatives, valuations and due diligence processes.
• Coordinate engagement with external advisors in relation to investor or corporate activity.

Knowledge & Experience
• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) or relevant finance degree
• Experience in FPandA roles at group level and/or in a company of similar size and/or experience in broader finance manager roles to enable a comprehensive understanding of financial projections, commercial drivers, finance storytelling and general finance concepts.
• Extensive experience in leading development and execution of plans to realise financial strategy and plans at a total company level
• Good understanding of commercial challenges, understanding of key cost and revenue drivers together with risk and opportunity areas
