You are joining a go to market team for the Consumer Electronics portfolio, focusing on TV, AV and Home Appliance categories. This role will play a key role reshaping the team to lead the key product launches and critical initiatives, ensuring cross-functional alignment.

Role and Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities

This role is fundamental to the performance and reputation of the EO Brand, & GTM (go-to-market) team which operates at the heart of the European Office (EO) Marketing function especially the product launches and sustain campaigns.

  • Your primary responsibility is to improve and implement the global launching strategy for CE products. You will improve the strategy by applying a deep comprehension of the HQ defined propositions to regional consumer needs, and crafting solutions to support subsidiary execution through communication and sales channels.

  • Devise European actions and roadmaps and steer cross-functional collaborators to drive successful implementation of change initiatives.

  • Drive end to end project management and implementation across EU16 subsidiaries to launch campaigns.

  • Own the launches and campaign through cross-functional collaboration - represent the GTM function to internal team members in HQ / subs / EO. Lead the GTM project planning process to ensure delivery of a seamless launch → ramp up → sustain sell out campaign. Ensure campaign launch strategy is aligned to our vision and objectives. Steer the cross-functional collaboration agenda to motivate teams, and ensure deadlines are achieved.

  • Challenge convention and pioneer GTM success for EU16 & EO. This will be achieved by influencing & crafting HQ marketing strategy, creative approach and driving consistency of execution by adding extra value from the regional level to make the campaign work for Europe.

  • Proactively develop EO led campaigns & initiatives to complement and enhance the global strategy and drive increased relevancy for European/UK markets to make Samsung more desireable and to achieve sales target.

  • Postmortem monitoring and reporting – Develop a campaign implementation plan in cooperation with the markets and report European readiness before campaign start. Monitor and evaluate localisation of the Global/European campaigns and support local markets in optimising their activity. The role will analyse best practise and transfer the knowledge and findings to all European markets and to HQ.

  • Local governance – Build positive relationships with markets, which will foster in-depth knowledge of markets’ plans and local activations. Ensure all local market activities follow standard approval procedure and brand guidelines.

To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Experience within Go-to-market/project management/campaign management/marketing strategy with a proven track record of delivering complex campaigns in regional/global level at the large-sized corporate environment.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organised.

  • Is a natural networker who can inspire others and able to build positive relationships and to align diverse viewpoints with people from different backgrounds.

  • Has excellent project management skills

  • Striving for Results – being committed to driving things forward and achieving clear outcomes, even when dealing with various team members with diverging agendas.

  • Efficient project manager, identifying potential roadblocks and proactively findings solutions and opportunities to deliver timely launch campaigns in Europe.

  • Navigating Organisations – being a resourceful negotiator, with a track record of influencing collaborators from various teams and different leadership levels. Building bridges and consensus and creating proven relationships both at European and HQ levels is essential. The ability to lead and empower several teams in multiple locations towards shifting goals is crucial.

  • Creative & Business Intelligence – commercially astute and with a good grasp of business goals, can formulate and identify creative strategies to meet those goals.

  • Previous experience in managing integrated marketing plans and campaigns and creative agency management experience.

  • Formulating succinct requests - being able to summarise complex information in a catchy and efficient way, to drive desired actions. You will need to use your influence to get information from various stakeholders

Skills and Qualifications

What does success look like?

  • Use consumer focused insights to define a category strategy for designated product categories and ensure launch/campaign readiness across Europe and ensure globally-developed campaigns answer to European needs.

  • Working with the Commercial, European marketing functions, and influence senior teams in headquarters to develop propositions and launch campaigns that are optimised to deliver against the category sales target.

  • Plan and deliver successful campaigns to meet the sales and brand target.

  • Monitor campaign implementation and results together with the CMI team, delivering insightful campaign reports and standard process cases

  • In turn, you will collaborate with marketing teams in local subsidiaries, campaigns can be implemented effectively across Europe.
