Role Overview

As a Senior FS Administration Analyst within the Financial Services Administration function in the EMEA region, your primary objective is to deliver high‑quality, accurate, and timely administration of reinsurance treaties in line with contractual terms, regulatory requirements, and internal control frameworks, including SOX. You will apply strong technical expertise to complex administration activities, supporting the integrity of data, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.

You will act as a key point of reference for complex cases, escalations, and process improvement initiatives, contributing to the robustness, efficiency, and continuous enhancement of administration processes.

Key Accountabilities

Technical & Operational Responsibilities

  • Ensure administration activities are delivered accurately, on time, and in line with treaty terms, regulatory requirements, and internal controls (including SOX).
  • Provide expert technical guidance on complex cases, data issues, and reconciliation challenges.
  • Complete claims reconciliations between actual and expected claims, validate changes to policy data, processing financial statements, maintain workbooks, processing premium reset handover packs, validate claims adjustments & processing payments. This is not an exhaustive list.

Leadership & Deputy Responsibilities

  • Where required, and in manager’s absence support the manager with day to day task oversight on FS Admin Task Tracker.
  • Act as a trusted escalation point for the administration team on technical, operational, and stakeholder matters.

Escalation & Stakeholder Management

  • Support the manager as an escalation contact for other internal teams (Finance, Valuation, Risk, Treasury, Audit) on administration‑related issues.
  • Proactively manage complex or sensitive issues, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders across EMEA.

Training, Coaching & Development

  • Once established, support onboarding and training of new team members.
  • Provide informal coaching and technical guidance to analysts, helping raise capability and confidence across the team.
  • Promote knowledge sharing, documentation, and best‑practice standards.

Projects & Continuous Improvement

  • Assist with planning, managing, and delivering projects, including process improvements, system changes, and automation initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance controls across administration processes.
  • Support change implementation and act as a key point of contact during project delivery.

Skills & Experience Required

Essential

  • Strong experience in Financial Services, pensions, insurance, or reinsurance administration.
  • Proven ability to operate at a senior analyst level, handling complex work independently.
  • Confidence acting as a point of escalation and making sound judgement calls.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and challenge constructively.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis capability.

Desirable

  • Experience supporting or deputising for a manager or team lead.
  • Knowledge of defined benefit pensions including GMP, annuities, or longevity‑related products e.g. longevity swaps.
  • Exposure to audit, regulatory, or control environments.
  • Professional qualifications (e.g. CII) or equivalent experience.
