The Team
You’ll join the Frontend Platform Team, a cross-functional engineering team that builds shared systems and components used across all of blp’s Stream-Aligned Teams (SATs).
This includes building:
Core UI frameworks
Reusable frontend foundations
Shared design system components
Cross-product functionality
This gives you broad impact across the entire platform.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys architecting clean, scalable frontend systems and empowering multiple product teams at once.
What You’ll Do
Help the team improve on the existing architecture and own its future direction — delivering a highly performant, scalable, AI-ready TypeScript codebase across multiple product teams.
Drive architectural decisions across the stack: component design, state management, performance budgets, and build tooling.
Apply deep knowledge of browser internals — event loops, Web Workers, rendering pipelines — to ship fast, responsive document processing UIs.
Work closely with product and backend engineers to define clean API contracts and integrate smoothly with AI-powered services.
Mentor engineers through architecture reviews, pairing sessions, and internal documentation that raises the technical bar.
Tackle cross-cutting concerns: shared libraries, design system consistency, testing strategy, and CI/CD improvements.
Stay close to the product and its users — and translate that understanding into frontend solutions that are both solid and a pleasure to use.

Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of experience as a full-stack developer with a strong focus on frontend development.
Experience with modern frontend frameworks, preferably React.
Deep expertise in TypeScript and modern frontend architecture — you have strong opinions and can back them up.
Strong understanding of browser internals, including event loops and Web Workers.
Proven ability to guide teams in architectural decisions and drive their implementation through to production.
