Job Description

This role is based 3 days a week in our High Holborn office. 

Working very closely with the Head of FP&A and the Divisional Financial Controller the Senior FP&A Analyst, Festivals plays an integral role in the division, supporting the delivery of high quality, accurate and timely financial information.  They play a critical role in driving financial performance by providing insights, analysis, and recommendations to support decision-making and achieve business objectives.

Informa Festivals is a new division with rapid growth ambitions, and the role will play a critical role in helping the division achieve its strategic goals through provision of high quality information and data led insights.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly actual and forecast reports provided to senior leadership.
  • Preparation of the monthly Group management reporting schedules and associated KPIs.
  • Assist with delivery of  monthly and annual financial reports and presentations, including flash reports, actual results, KPI’s and forecasts.  Ensure timely delivery and communication as well as of Monthly Trading Report and Business Planning Reviews.
  • Support in preparation of annual Budgets, three-year plans, and monthly forecasts. Preparation of summaries to explain changes and comparisons to comparative financials.
  • Regular review of business performance issues and forecast accuracy.
  • Build on and improve our Group Capex reporting to deliver more insightful analysis.
  • Provide coverage and take the lead on FP&A deliverables as required.
  • Take the lead on organising quarterly cross-Finance FP&A update sessions.
  • Own the FP&A calendar, handbook and associated materials, regularly updating and communicating changes to the wider business.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvement and enhance financial performance
  • Build an FP&A playbook for the onboarding of acquired businesses.
  • Ad-hoc investment appraisal and performance analysis.

Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant with 3+ years PQE.
  • Experience of Essbase, Hyperion Planning and TM1 preferable.
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
  • Good organisation skills and ability to work to tight deadlines. Motivated and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Good problem solver with intellectual curiosity.
  • Advanced demonstrable PowerPoint and Excel skills – (Excel – must be extremely comfortable building models/reports with the ability to distil numbers down to key messages).
  • Ability to build rapport and work collaboratively across all levels of the organisation.
  • Happy to work autonomously.
  • Previous experience in the Media/Events/Content sector would be useful
