Job Description

Department Overview

Our portfolio, grounded in 120 years of investment experience, provides diversified exposure to scarce, high-quality businesses with significant barriers to entry.

We invest in infrastructure assets that deliver essential goods and services—from the movement of passengers and freight over toll roads and rail networks to the distribution of energy and other products through ports and pipelines, and much more.

Role Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst, Portfolio Management finance will be a key member of the Infrastructure European Portfolio Management team, reporting directly to the Vice President of Portfolio Management . In this role you would actively support Brookfield Infrastructure’s Europe asset management operations, including financial reporting, regulatory reporting, FP&A and treasury operations. The candidate will be required to interact with several key stakeholders, including senior members of the finance, operations, corporate and investor relations teams.

This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated and exceptional performer to join a dynamic asset management organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track operating results of subsidiaries spanning multiple segments and articulate findings to key stakeholders;

  • Prepare and monthly, quarterly and annual FP&A and financial reporting submissions and analysis for operating assets supporting management accounts, IFRS, lender and private funds reporting

  • Prepare financial reporting for Brookfield’s European Infrastructure asset manager, including preparation of statutory accounts and relevant tax returns;

  • Compile regulatory reporting for Brookfield’s European Infrastructure asset manager

  • Compile, analyze and report on corporate and key business platforms including operating metrics;

  • Monitoring and reporting of treasury, derivatives, risk, liquidity and capital management;

  • Assist in preparation of various analyses and reports for senior management to support their business decision making;

  • Ad-hoc analyses and presentations on platform financial and operational results, as well as participating in special projects

  • Support onboarding and integration of new assets into Brookfield finance and accounting processes including overseeing preparation of opening balance sheets using purchase price accounting ensuring that all internal Brookfield and external SEC requirements are met

  • Dealings with external audit

Technical Skills

  • Soon to be or recently qualified ACA or ACCA with big 4 experience

  • Strong financial systems experience, including advanced Excel;

  • Excellent analytical, and problem-solving ability;

  • Ability to work in a dynamic, complex, fast-paced environment, to adapt quickly and to manage changing priorities and deadlines;

  • Self-motivated and pro-active, with respect to both managing workload and professional development.

  • Interest in continuous improvement of our processes and outputs

  • Highly competent in the fundamentals of accounting
