About our Team

As part of Invited Content Group in the Science, Technology, and Medical Journals, the Editorial Manager team manages an extensive collection of high-impact invited-only journals. We take pride in the strong reputation of our journals and the high quality of the content we publish. As a leading contributor to the scientific community, we are honoured to play a crucial role in advancing the field.

About the Role

You will play a critical role in supporting the development of highly prestigious titles (e.g. Current Opinion journals). You will manage the end-to-end publication process of sections and work with editors and authors to ensure a successful publication. You will work closely with publishers to maintain a healthy pipeline of sections for the responsible journals and to ensure continuation and consistency of the journal brand.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating the publication of journals and ensuring timely delivery of issues

  • Serving as the primary point of contact for Authors/Editors/Publishers, ensuring that the journals are running smoothly and efficiently

  • Identifying high-impact topics for themed issues and then recruiting leading scientists to serve as Section Editors, in line with agreements and policies as set by the Publisher

  • Providing administrative and analytical support to the journals

Requirements

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in arts or science, a M.Sc/MA is a plus but not required.

  • Have an understanding of scientific publishing and peer review

  • Have excellent communication skills and excellent written and spoken English

  • Have excellent organizational skills, the ability to prioritize, analytical and proactive, focus, and achieve desired goals

  • Customer-focused, attentive.
