Description

Rakuten Viber is one of the most popular and downloaded apps in the world. Working with us provides a unique opportunity to influence hundreds of millions of our users and to be part of the journey that makes us a super-app. Our mission is to make people's lives easier by enabling meaningful connections, from precious moments with family and friends, through managing business relationships to pursuing their passions.

Viber is the daily messaging and calling app across our core markets. We're building the super-app layer on top of that foundation: Payments, eSIM, Viber Plus, Dating, and a growing small & micro business ecosystem.

As SVP of Product Marketing, you will report to the CEO and act as the company’s owner of B2C marketing - highly focused on Product Marketing. The ideal candidate is able to showcase a successful track record as a highly effective product marketing leader, one that lives and breathes product marketing able to articulate features into stories and user-journey’s into experiences. A master communicator that understands how users think, feel and act - and how to translate those into insights that drive engagement and the business forward. A type of manager that challenges conventions, leading by example and raises the bar on execution. The right candidate wins through precision and creativity, leveraging Viber’s massive audience and existing channels, not mass media spend.

Product Positioning & Messaging

  • Define product positioning, messaging frameworks and value propositions for each product and audience segment
  • Build narratives that resonate globally and adapt locally - ensuring Viber's product story lands across diverse markets and cultures

  • Lead GTM for strategic partnerships that drive tangible user growth and expand Viber's super-app value proposition
  • Develop GTM plans for monetization products (eSIM, Viber Plus subscription, Dating) from positioning to conversion
  • Partner with Product and Business to identify and activate growth levers across the full consumer product funnel
  • Market and Customer Research: Lead insights teams to understand buyer personas, market trends, and competitor movements.

People & Function Leadership

  • Lead and develop Viber’s global product marketing teams across Viber’s top regions: Central East Europe, Ukraine & APAC
  • Build a culture of accountability, data-driven decision-making, and business focus across the team
  • Align product management, sales, and marketing departments toward shared revenue and growth goals.

  • Proven track record in B2C consumer apps with a global footprint - this is a must
  • Exceptional storytelling and positioning skills - you can make complex products feel clear and desirable
  • Experience with monetization + familiarity of wide array of marketing domains: Performance, Social, PR, ASP, Content, CRM and offline)
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing distributed marketing teams, including team leads, across regions and cultures
  • Deep understanding of what drives user acquisition, engagement, and retention in consumer products - without relying on mass brand spend or massive UA budgets
  • Data-driven - comfortable defining KPIs, reading funnel and retention metrics, and using data to inform positioning and launch decisions
  • Strong execution instincts - strategy is the starting point, not the finish line
  • Experience working cross-functionally in global, matrixed organizations, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cultures.
