The Senior Director, People & Culture is a pivotal senior role within our London Office and a key member of Catapult’s global P&C leadership team. Working three days in the office and partnering closely with senior business leaders, you will drive strategic impact while shaping both the culture and operational effectiveness of the EMEA region.

Reporting to the Vice President, People & Culture, based in Melbourne, you will lead an in-region team of three and be responsible for designing and implementing strategies that enable, engage, develop and retain exceptional talent.

Success in this role requires a balance of strategic thinking and practical execution. You will thrive in a fast-paced, global environment and be energised by creating innovative, scalable solutions that strengthen leadership capability and foster a high-performance culture across the region.

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

  • Develop and execute strategic workforce plans, coaching senior leaders on organisational design, change management, communication, and talent development to drive engagement, retention, and business performance.
  • Shape culture and values by identifying organisational needs and implementing impactful, scalable people solutions.
  • Drive a consistent, high-quality employee experience across the EMEA region, spanning three offices, 16 countries, and multiple employment frameworks.
  • Provide hands-on support and strategic partnership to leaders, teams, and employees, ensuring people strategies are aligned with business goals.
  • Partner with the Talent team to deliver strategic initiatives across learning and development, diversity, equity and inclusion, reward, workforce planning, and talent acquisition.
  • Mentor and lead regional P&C team members, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Leverage data and insights to identify trends, inform decision-making, and influence strategic outcomes.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • A commercial mindset and the ability to connect people decisions to business outcomes, building credibility and influence with senior leaders across regions and cultures.
  • Significant People & Culture leadership experience in a multi-country EMEA environment, with working knowledge of UK and German employment law.
  • Proven success partnering with senior leaders in a fast-paced, high-growth, global organisation to drive transformation and business outcomes.
  • The ability to balance competing priorities across the employee lifecycle without compromising quality or attention to detail.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and bringing clarity, structure, and momentum to complex challenges.
  • A strategic yet hands-on approach, balancing pace with employee development, engagement, and belonging.
  • Experience designing creative, commercially driven solutions to complex business challenges.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organisation.
  • High levels of energy, adaptability, and resilience, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • A passion for creating a market-leading employee experience and fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Flexibility to work across global time zones when required.
WHAT YOUR SUCCESS WILL LOOK LIKE
  • In 6 months, you have built strong relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders and are recognised as a trusted P&C partner. You have a clear understanding of workforce opportunities, challenges, and priorities, with a defined view of how P&C can enable business performance. Your direct team is aligned on priorities, ways of working, and expectations, and regional P&C processes are operating with consistency and quality.
  • In 12 months time, you are driving meaningful impact through strategic workforce initiatives, stronger leadership capability, and an enhanced employee experience. Leaders are empowered to navigate people challenges effectively, global P&C initiatives are successfully embedded across teams, and data and insights are being used to inform decisions. You are a valued member of the global P&C leadership team, helping shape and deliver a high-performance culture across Catapult.
