Senior Director, Integrated Marketing Communications EMEA – 12 month FTC
London (Battersea) / Hybrid
The Senior Director, Integrated Marketing Communications plays a critical role in shaping and executing the integrated marketing communications strategy for Shark and Ninja across EMEA. This position is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of comprehensive marketing communication plans that effectively reach and engage our target audiences at a regional level. The Senior Director will lead a team of marketing communication professionals and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency and a unified marketing message.
Here are some of the EXCITING things you’ll get to do (RESPONSIBILITIES):
Strategic Planning:
- Develop, execute, and continually refine an integrated marketing communication strategy that aligns with the company's overall marketing objectives.
- Collaborate with the Marketing leadership team and other stakeholders to set clear goals and KPIs for marketing communication initiatives.
- Set the IMC direction for the Regional Hub and working with the Country teams to translate this plan that can be executed using the specialist teams in the regional hub
Brand Management:
- Ensure brand consistency across all communication channels and materials.
- Oversee the development of brand guidelines and ensure adherence to them across all channels and touchpoints
Campaign Development:
- Lead the regional development of integrated marketing campaigns that encompass various communication channels, including digital, social media, traditional advertising, and public relations.
- Monitor campaign performance and adjust strategies as needed to achieve goals.
- Ensure effective planning of all Demand Gen investment to ensure full funnel campaign activation; optimise creative and media when campaign is in flight and also carry out reviews once campaign period has ended against campaign KPIs.
Content Strategy:
- Develop and implement a content strategy that provides engaging and informative content across various platforms.
- Collaborate with content creators to ensure content aligns with brand messaging and audience needs.
Agency relationships
- Coordinate with all agencies and in house teams to ensure campaigns are integrated and opps are maximised.
- Establish integrated agency ways of working across each market and alignment with global teams.
Measurement and Analytics:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly assess the effectiveness of marketing communication efforts.
- Use data and analytics to make data-driven decisions and optimize campaigns
- Establish reporting and measurement and be proactive with upcoming launches.
Budget Management:
- Own and allocate the regional demand gen budgets, ensuring cost-effective strategies and adherence to financial guidelines and coordination with country teams to ensure there is alignment.
Geo Expansion:
- Drive and build full funnel marketing plans to launch within new emerging markets across EMEA
- Manage and coach an expanding team to drive positive ROI and align with KPIs to succeed in market
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals across EMEA, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Ensure effective and collaborative leadership across countries and within the global team to communicate with imapct and drive efficiencies
ATTRIBUTES & SKILLS (REQUIREMENTS):
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in marketing and communication roles, with 10 years in a leadership or managerial position.
- Proven expertise in creating and implementing integrated marketing communication strategies.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to influence at all levels
- Proficiency in marketing tools and platforms, including marketing automation software, content management systems, and analytics tools.
- Strong interpersonal and team management skills.
- Deep understanding of all marketing comms channels (ATL, BTL, PR, Social, Sponsorship etc)
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience in relevant industries.
- Familiarity with emerging marketing communication trends and technologies.
- Public speaking and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of international marketing and communications if applicable to the organization's scope.
