ABOUT STEVEN.COM

ROLE MISSION

Shape how the world understands Steven.com. You’ll own the corporate narrative across a fast-growing group spanning media, creators, investment, technology, community and commerce. You’ll position the founder as CEO of Steven.com and build a wider group of executive voices. This is one of the most important senior hires in a communications function that’s still being built.

KEY OUTCOMES
  • Define and keep sharpening a corporate narrative that ties every business, leader and activity into one coherent story.

  • Position the founder as founder and CEO of Steven.com, and build a group of executives who can represent the business with authority.

  • Own executive media, speaking, conferences and thought leadership across the group.

  • Run a proactive corporate comms programme, from Davos moments to major investment and new business announcements.

  • Build and increasingly own key media and stakeholder relationships in-house.

  • Lead comms across the wider agenda: the Fund, technology, philanthropy, policy and major company developments.

  • Monitor reputation, anticipate issues and give clear counsel on how to respond.

  • Work with People & Culture and Operations to strengthen internal communications as we scale.

CORE COMPETENCIES
  • Storytelling: excellent writing and strong editorial judgement.

  • Senior counsel: confident advising leaders while still getting into the detail.

  • Modern reputation thinking: sees influence across media, creators, platforms, owned channels, events and communities, not just through a traditional PR lens.

  • Relationship building: well connected across relevant media, with the appetite to keep expanding.

  • Commercial curiosity: understands how businesses grow and can make complexity clear.

YOU’LL THRIVE HERE IF
  • You’d rather build a function than inherit one.

  • You’re energised by pace and change.

  • You use AI and new tools to automate research, monitoring and reporting, so your time goes on judgement, ideas and relationships.

  • You’re collaborative, low ego and comfortable working across teams.

IDEAL BACKGROUND
  • 10+ years in communications, operating confidently with senior leaders.

  • Experience in corporate comms, media, tech, entertainment, consumer, investment or another fast-moving environment.

  • A track record of turning complex, multi-business stories into clear, compelling communications.
