We’re looking for an experienced Senior Digital Trading Manager to drive product performance, range planning, and trading strategies in our D2C eCommerce channel.
Leading a small team of web merchandisers, you’ll optimize product management to achieve key trading goals. As a key member of the Commercial team, you’ll oversee website merchandising and collaborate with Retail on quarterly range reviews to enhance our in-store proposition.
Working cross-functionally, you’ll identify gaps and opportunities, leveraging marketing insights and research to support Buying in developing a market-leading range.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Performance Analysis – Continuously analyse sales data, customer behaviour, and key performance metrics (sales, AOV, margin, conversion rates) to identify opportunities for growth.
- Range Planning & Review – Work closely with the Buying team to review product ranges, identify gaps, and plan range changes that align with customer demand and commercial goals. On a quarterly basis assist the Retail team with in-store range reviews, sharing best practice and applying knowledge for what works well in eComm to their channel.
- Trading & Optimisation – Lead a small team of web merchandisers to ensure products are traded effectively
- Product Mix Management – Ensure the right balance of products across categories, optimising the mix based on trends, sales performance, and profitability.
- Pricing & Promotion optimisation - you are comfortable using market and customer data to determine the optimal pricing and promotional strategy to drive forward target net sales outcomes
- Competitor & Market Analysis – Keep up to date with competitor activity, pricing, and market trends to inform strategy and decision-making.
- Team Leadership – Manage and mentor the merchandising team, driving best practices in ecommerce trading, analysis, and execution.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement – Work cross-functionally with buying, marketing and UX to deliver a seamless and profitable online shopping experience.
About you:
- Strong experience in online merchandising or trading, ideally in a senior management role.
- Excellent analytical skills - you are exceptional at analysing sales data in spreadsheets, in dashboarding and via web analytics tools
- You are comfortable taking the output of analysis to drive forward commercial decision making
- Experience in range planning and working with Buying teams to shape product selection.
- Commercial mindset with a focus on achieving financial targets (sales, margin, AOV).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
