What you’ll do

As a Senior Experience & Retail Designer, you’ll take on our medium to large projects. You’ll combine your understanding of a client's business with your spatial design skills to map out a clear creative strategy, designing physical and retail environments that make a real impact.

Job Responsibilities

  • Bring big ideas, strong craft, and real-world expertise to our 3D and experiential design projects.
  • Lead the creative process, from spatial layouts and customer flows to initial sketches, mood boards, and research.
  • Partner with clients, internal teams, and external makers or architects to make sure your ideas are successfully built and installed.
  • Design physical spaces and retail environments that connect with visitors and make sense for the brand.
  • Confidently share your ideas and give constructive, inspiring feedback to others.
  • Mentor and guide junior designers (including 3D visualisers) to help them grow and improve their work.
  • Help shape the creative strategy behind our retail and experience projects.
  • Jump between different projects smoothly, collaborating with client and production teams to keep things running beautifully.
  • Work closely with graphic and digital designers to make sure the physical space, digital touchpoints, and branding all feel like one cohesive experience.
  • Keep a positive, collaborative, and professional attitude with your team and clients.
  • Use AI tools in a smart way to find inspiration and work more efficiently.

What you’ll need

  • Experience working as a designer in a brand, retail design, or experiential agency.
  • A clear understanding of how to translate a brand’s personality into a physical, three-dimensional space.
  • A strong portfolio showing spatial design, material selection, environmental graphics, and great conceptual thinking.
  • The ability to bring a brand to life using color, type, materials, lighting, and fixtures.
  • A knack for storytelling and the ability to explain the strategy behind a customer journey.
  • A finger on the pulse of what’s next in retail, hospitality, and spatial design.
  • Curiosity about how people interact with physical spaces and technology in the real world.
  • A genuine passion for design, spaces, and creating great experiences.
  • Solid skills in 3D modeling and rendering software (like SketchUp, Rhino, Cinema 4D, V-Ray, or Twinmotion), alongside Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and quick hand-sketching to show your ideas.
  • Experience taking 2D brand designs and successfully adapting them into three dimensions.

We believe the best work happens when we're together, fostering creativity, collaboration, and connection. That's why we’ve adopted a hybrid approach, with teams in the office around four days a week. If you require accommodations or flexibility, please discuss this with the hiring team during the interview process.

We build brands. We build futures. Landor, a WPP company, is an equal opportunity employer. We consider all applicants without discrimination or regard to particular characteristics, committed to a culture of respect where everyone belongs and can progress in their careers.
