About Incard

Incard’s mission is to build the financial operating system for entrepreneurs.

We are focused on creating a system where business banking, financial tools, and application logic are coordinated into a single control layer.

Through the app store, entrepreneurs and developers can build industry-specific functionality as their business evolves.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a Senior Design System Designer who is passionate about structure, scalability, and craft and who thrives at the intersection of design and engineering.

You’ll own and evolve the foundations of Incard’s design system, enabling product teams to ship faster while maintaining consistency, accessibility, and high visual quality across web and mobile.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems at a system level, values clarity and pragmatism, and wants to have a direct impact on how product teams work every day.

What You’ll Do
  • Own and maintain Incard’s design system, including components, patterns, interaction behaviours and visual foundations

  • Design scalable, reusable components that support consistent product delivery across web and mobile

  • Partner closely with Product Designers to translate product needs into system-level solutions

  • Collaborate with frontend engineers to ensure components are technically feasible, accessible and aligned with development frameworks

  • Define and document clear usage guidelines covering behaviour, accessibility, interaction rules and responsive states

  • Champion quality, consistency and accessibility across the product, applying WCAG standards and usability best practices

  • Contribute to design system governance, supporting component evaluation and evolution while escalating major decisions to Design Ops leadership

  • Improve workflows and tooling by optimising Figma libraries, tokens, naming conventions and Dev Mode usage

What We’re Looking For
  • 3–6 years of experience in UI/Product Design, with at least 1–2 years working on or with design systems

  • Strong understanding of component-driven design, UI architecture and systematic thinking

  • Expert Figma skills, including components, variants, auto-layout, library management, variables, theming, design tokens and multi-mode systems

  • Strong visual design fundamentals (typography, spacing, colour, grids, interaction details)

  • Experience collaborating closely with engineers and understanding front-end constraints

  • Ability to write clear, practical documentation for designers and developers

  • Solid grasp of accessibility standards, responsive behaviour and design best practices

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across design, product and engineering

Benefits:
  • Competitive cash-based compensation

  • Incard stock options

  • 25 days of paid time off per year, plus bank holidays and your birthday off

  • Global health insurance and unlimited paid sick leave
