We are working with a leading global specialty insurer to find a Senior Bordereaux Analyst to join their Delegated Underwriting Operations team. The team manages a growing portfolio of European and Asian delegated authority business, and this person will be the most experienced technical voice within it.

You will have two direct reports and will be the go-to for the team on bordereaux questions, data queries and regulatory matters. But this is not a purely managerial position. You will be hands-on, building maps, leading on regulatory and bureau reporting, and taking ownership of data quality across the book. The right person is someone who genuinely knows their way around bordereaux work and can bring a level of expertise the team can learn from.

Key Responsibilities

  • Agreeing and building first maps of bordereaux within the GBDX management system, and reviewing and approving new maps in VIPR
  • Leading on regulatory reporting across the delegated authority portfolio, including understanding tax treatment across territories and lines of business
  • Managing bureau transaction submissions, including contract and endorsement production under the central settlement number
  • Taking ownership of queries, exceptions and data discrepancies to make sure the information going through the business is accurate and complete
  • Supporting and developing two junior analysts through day-to-day guidance, training and technical oversight
  • Maintaining electronic records within Salesforce and performing source system data entry and validation
  • Producing regular management information for internal committees and senior stakeholders
  • Getting involved in ad hoc projects and process improvements as directed by delegated underwriting leadership

Requirements
  • 3-4 years of experience in bordereaux management or delegated authority operations, with real technical knowledge rather than a general operational background
  • A solid understanding of regulatory reporting and tax requirements across multiple territories and lines of business
  • Experience building or reviewing bordereaux maps in VIPR and/or GBDX
  • Experience with bureau transaction submissions would be a real bonus
  • The confidence and credibility to act as a senior point of reference for a team, someone people can come to with technical questions and trust the answers
  • Some experience managing or mentoring junior colleagues
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with Salesforce or a similar CRM

Benefits

Permanent contract.

Paying up to £58,000 per annum.
