Job Description:

PM Growth Analytics – Senior Data Scientist, Incrementality Measurement
We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join Growth Analytics in a hands-on role focused on understanding the true value of Performance Marketing. You will design and run incrementality tests and translate model and experiment outputs into clear, commercial insight the business can act on — helping the organisation distinguish correlation from causality and quantify the real impact of marketing investment.
This role sits at the intersection of experimentation, modelling, analytics, and business decision-making. It is suited to someone who can independently deliver high-quality analytical work, communicate uncertainty with confidence, and contribute thoughtful input to the future measurement roadmap.
Your work will apply robust statistical, modelling, and experimentation approaches - including MMMs, PSA techniques, GeoLift, holdout testing, and other causal inference frameworks — to evaluate Performance Marketing effectiveness. You will work closely with buying teams, analysts, and technical partners to turn measurement questions into practical test designs, interpret results with appropriate caveats, and help convert learnings into repeatable approaches that support planning, forecasting, and optimisation.
Your Role Within Our Kingdom

  • Connecting measurement outcomes to business value: You will go beyond uncovering insights to ensure our findings drive tangible, measurable impact on top-line financials. You will collaborate closely with game design and studio teams—alongside marketing—to connect measurement outcomes directly to player behavior, in-game metrics, and revenue generation, ensuring our technical work aligns with product realities and consistently moves the commercial needle.
  • Execute Incrementality Measurement: You will own complex measurement workstreams end-to-end, from scoping through analysis and readout, applying sound statistical and experimental methods to assess channel impact, incrementality, and the business contribution of media investment.
  • Operationalise Measurement & Build Frameworks: You will developing scalable, reusable analytical frameworks and turn experimental outcomes into calibration inputs and practical decision-making tools, building the repeatable processes that integrate measurement directly into media planning, campaign optimisation, and ongoing performance evaluation.
  • Bridge Business and Technical Questions: You will work with marketing and technical stakeholders to translate business questions into measurement plans, analytical requirements, and test designs that are both statistically credible and operationally realistic.
  • Contribute to the Measurement Roadmap: You will bring informed opinions on how measurement approaches should evolve, identify gaps or risks in current methods, and propose practical improvements, while working within the broader roadmap owned by more senior leaders.
  • Communicate with Clarity: You will explain assumptions, trade-offs, confidence levels, and limitations to both technical and non-technical audiences, helping stakeholders understand what the data can and cannot tell us.

Skills to Create Thrills

  • Education: Master's or PhD in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience: Strong hands-on experience in measurement, marketing science, experimentation, data science, or analytics, with a track record of delivering business-relevant insights from complex data.
  • Measurement Expertise: Strong understanding of causal inference, experimentation, statistical modelling, and media measurement, with practical experience applying approaches such as MMMs, PSA methods, GeoLift, holdout tests, or similar frameworks.
  • Execution: Able to independently structure ambiguous analytical problems, manage dependencies, and deliver high-quality outputs with consistency and attention to detail.
  • Commercial Mindset: Strong ability to connect analytical results to business decisions, investment trade-offs, and financial reality.
  • Technical Skills: Strong command of Python or R, SQL, and analytical workflows needed to support rigorous, reproducible measurement and modelling.
  • Communication: Excellent ability to explain complex methods and uncertain results in clear, pragmatic language tailored to different audiences.
  • Judgement: Sound judgement in ambiguous situations, including knowing when to apply advanced methods, when to simplify, when to challenge assumptions, and when to escalate risks or uncertainty.

Tasty Bonus Points

  • Experience working directly with media buying teams or growth marketing organisations.
  • Experience contributing to the development of repeatable measurement approaches used in planning or optimisation.
  • Familiarity with digital advertising measurement challenges such as attribution bias, selection effects, incrementality gaps, and platform limitations.
  • Experience with BigQuery, Looker, Airflow, or similar data ecosystems.
  • Passion for gaming and a track record of using data to improve commercial decision-making.
