Lloyd’s is the world’s leading insurance and reinsurance marketplace, bringing together the world’s leading risk takers to advance global progress.

Our strategy is focused on delivering strong underwriting performance, operating an efficient and flexible marketplace, and maximising the capital advantage of the Lloyd’s market — while continuing to build a Lloyd’s we are proud of.

How we deliver this, matters. We take the risk, make things happen, and own the outcome — working together across our global network to turn insight into impact.

Make the market better. It starts with you.

Data matters. Trust matters more.
At Lloyd’s, we protect both.

We’re looking for a Senior Data Privacy Analyst to help embed a strong, practical and forward‑looking data privacy culture across the Corporation. You’ll bring expert judgement, clear advice and a collaborative mindset to one of the world’s most respected insurance marketplaces.

This is a role where your voice counts. And where what you do makes a difference.

What you’ll be part of

You’ll join our Legal – Commercial Team, working within the Data Privacy function and reporting to the Head of Commercial, Legal. We’re trusted advisers to the business—supporting strategy, transformation and day‑to‑day decision‑making while protecting Lloyd’s reputation and managing legal risk.

You’ll work closely with colleagues across the Corporation, helping them do the right thing with data. From the start.

What you’ll do

You’ll focus on what matters. And be brilliant at it.

That includes:

  • Providing expert, pragmatic advice on data privacy matters across the business

  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure data privacy obligations are understood, embedded and managed effectively

  • Supporting projects and change initiatives by championing privacy by design and identifying risks early, with clear solutions

  • Managing and delivering Data Privacy Impact Assessments, supplier privacy assessments and associated action plans

  • Supporting the investigation and reporting of personal data breaches

  • Managing Transfer Impact Assessments and advising on lawful cross‑border data transfer mechanisms

  • Maintaining accurate records of processing activities and data flow maps

  • Acting as a point of contact for privacy queries, including managing data subject rights requests within statutory timeframes

  • Producing meaningful management information to support risk oversight and decision‑making

  • Monitoring legislative and regulatory developments and translating them into practical, business‑relevant insight

You’ll help us stay compliant. But more than that, you’ll help us stay trusted.

What you’ll bring

You don’t need to tick every box. But you’ll likely bring:

  • Deep knowledge of UK and EU data protection frameworks, including GDPR, UK GDPR and DPA 2019

  • Strong experience delivering DPIAs, data flow mapping, ROPA maintenance and data subject access requests

  • Confidence advising on cross‑border data transfers, including SCCs, IDTAs, adequacy and TIAs

  • The ability to explain complex privacy concepts clearly to non‑technical audiences

  • A collaborative approach, with the confidence to influence and challenge constructively

  • Experience working with privacy management tools—OneTrust experience is a Experience in insurance, the London Market or another regulated financial services environment is advantageous—but not essential.

Professional privacy qualifications (such as CIPP/E or CIPM) are welcomed but not required.

How you’ll lead

As a senior analyst, you’ll:

  • Promote openness, transparency and strong risk awareness

  • Champion continuous improvement in data privacy governance

  • Act with integrity, delivering within Lloyd’s risk appetites and control frameworks

You’ll be trusted to make sound judgements. And supported when you need it.

Being inclusive at Lloyd’s is integral to how we work — and how we deliver impact.
We aim to build a diverse, inclusive environment that reflects the global markets we serve, where everyone is treated with dignity and respect and supported to reach their full potential.

We take the risk by challenging traditional thinking and being proactive about inclusion. That means being open and positive about workplace adjustments, prioritising health and wellbeing, and investing in diversity and inclusion training so everyone feels able to contribute and succeed.

We make things happen by turning our commitment into action. Through employee networks, mentoring, volunteering opportunities and sustained investment in professional development, we create an environment where inclusion is experienced day‑to‑day — not just talked about.

We own the outcome by focusing on impact. By bringing together diverse perspectives and the best minds in the industry, we work collaboratively with underwriters and brokers to create innovative, responsive solutions that share risk and solve complex problems across global markets.
