You will also support data governance, including metadata management and data dictionaries, in line with organisational data strategy and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and govern data models, schemas and metadata structures.

  • Provide oversight and guidance to teams producing data artefacts.

  • Support the creation and management of data dictionaries.

  • Ensure data solutions align with organisational standards and architecture principles.

  • Work with Technical Architects so systems are designed in line with the data architecture.

  • Advise on data storage, access and integration patterns.

  • Support data quality, consistency and integrity across services.

  • Communicate data architecture decisions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of data architecture practices and standards.

Essential Skills and Experience
  • Strong experience in data architecture and data design.

  • Ability to design and maintain data models and metadata systems.

  • Experience supporting data standards and data dictionaries.

  • Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, such as Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB and Oracle.

  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS and/or Azure).

  • Understanding of data integration and data lifecycle management.

  • Ability to collaborate closely with architects, engineers and delivery teams.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Clear communication and documentation skills.

  • Experience working in agile delivery environments.

Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Exposure to analytical and reporting platforms, such as Power BI or Tableau.

  • Experience with data governance or data quality frameworks.

  • Familiarity with event-driven or integration-led architectures.

  • Experience working effectively in a hybrid environment.

Why Join Us?
  • Work on meaningful digital services that make a real difference to the public.

  • Join a growing, award-winning consultancy with a strong delivery culture.

  • Grow your career alongside experienced architects and engineers.
