Square Mile, part of Titan Wealth's Asset Managements arm, is an independent investment research business that works in partnership with regulated professional financial services firms. We help advisers to develop informed investment recommendations so that, with their support, their clients can make the decisions that are right for them. Focusing first and foremost on in depth, qualitative fund research, we provide tailored support and investment services for financial advisers and institutions.


The primary purpose of this role is to contribute to the roadmap and data strategy to enable the organisation to reach their goal of being data-driven. This includes development of processes that create efficiencies and expand company’s analytical capabilities. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Work across the full-stack spectrum from designing processes, to building scalable tools and robust datasets.
  • Proactively engage with other departments to support wider data strategy.
  • Support and coach the team in their activities and ad hoc research projects.
  • Understand and interrogate the data, providing challenge, if necessary, to the team.
  • Contribute to thought leadership and the analysis of the investment universe trends.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data processes, identify issues, and implement solutions to ensure data integrity and efficiency.
  • Pioneer analytical techniques focusing on predictive analytics and data science.
  • Contribute to the data projects which are being undertaken by the Head of Data, Analytics and Insight.

Job Requirements

  • Educated to degree level (Maths or Science-based degree) and / or relevant professional qualification.
  • Sound knowledge of investment terminology and statistical analysis.
  • Experience working with large data sets and databases.
  • Experience in using data visualisation software, such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Proficiency in programming languages, especially SQL, Python or VBA.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Azure and DevOps.
  • Good project management skills and ability to analyse large amounts of information quickly.
  • Good understanding of the business processes required to support customers.
  • Attention to detail.
