Senior Data Analyst (Finance)

Purpose of Position

Awin’s Financial Analytics team sits at the intersection of finance, data and commercial decision-making and is fundamental to shaping the company’s financial future and strategic direction through expert data analysis and financial modelling. We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to take us to the next level, acting as a Lead Developer for the company’s suite of financial reporting, KPIs and modelling. Technical proficiency in data, a background in finance, and a commercial mindset are critical for this role. But more than that we need someone who can tell a story with data, who understands what business leaders need to make decisions and has the courage to innovate.

Key Tasks

• Contribute to the squad’s financial reporting and modelling including sales, revenue, opex, personnel, subscription metrics such as ARR and CLV, new business, churn, balance sheet and cashflow analysis
• Act as the “senior developer”, setting standards, coaching other team members and ensuring the highest quality of deliverables
• Design and implement dashboards, reports and models that support financial planning, forecasting, and reporting
• Collaborate closely with other squads across Data Engineering and Finance to procure, ingest and model the data necessary to streamline decision-making across the organisation
• Support the Product Owner and Manager with squad backlog: using expert knowledge to help refine requirements, prioritize user stories, ensure clarity and alignment with stakeholders
• As a Senior support Manager in vision / strategy, roadmap planning and leading innovation such as the incorporation of new tools or methods such as AI / M

Skills and Expertise

• At least five years in Financial or Business Analytics
• Knowledge of Accounting / Finance
• Analytical, pro-active and inquisitive, with a proven ability to take ownership and generate valuable new ideas
• Exceptional communication skills the candidate needs to be able to shift seamlessly from talking technical details with engineers to talking strategy with management 
• Bachelor’s Degree in a Finance, Business or Analytics related field 
• Expertise with SQL and Tableau is essential 
• Fluent English
