Essential Functions

  • The Senior Control Developer owns the Control Room and ensure that all scheduled processes run on time and to SLA if appropriate.  Modifies schedules to keep processes on track if outages occur.  Maintains 100% accuracy and understands the needs of each individual process when restarting.  Communicates effectively with both the RPA Control Developers I and II as well as the Business Units
  • Mentors the Control Developer II in the Control Room environment and ensures transfer of knowledge.
  • Collaborates with Software Developers to bring new processes into the Control Room, whilst still maintaining the integrity of the control room.
  • Owns the escalation process for the Control Room
  • Responsible for the creation of the monthly MI and its distribution in a timely manner. Working with the Control Developer II ensuring accuracy in the data that is pulled and verifying it before being published.
  • The Senior Control Developer owns the half yearly health checks with all RPA clients and publishes the findings and recommendations to RPA Leadership.
  • Collaborates with business and technology teams to develop moderate to complex processes for internal and external client business processes.  Defines, designs, builds, tests and delivers routine to moderately complex processes and supports on multiple projects/issues with an advanced understanding of the New Model Office applications and/or area as it relates to assigned projects and how the functional area interacts with other functional areas.
  • Performs corrective measures for moderate to complex code deficiencies and escalates alternative proposals.
  • Analyses, modifies, and develops moderate to complex processes/unit testing in order to develop concise application documentation. Performs testing and validation requirements for basic to moderately complex code changes. Applies a full understanding of procedures, methodology and best practice and governance for New Model Office development and associated tools as well as Payment Card Industry (PCI) security compliance.
  • Undertakes Client Assessments without support and presents findings to management for review.
  • Provides support to leadership for the design, development and enforcement of business/infrastructure application standards to include associated controls, procedures and monitoring to ensure compliance and accuracy of data.
  • Conducts and provides basic billable hours and resource estimates on initiatives, projects and issues.
  • Assists with on-the-job training and provides mentorship to the Control Developer I and II

qualified, career-oriented, journey-level position.

Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Responsible for the running of the Control Room in meeting SLA’s and ensuring all scheduled processes are completed every day. Collaborates with other Team Members to create the monthly MI, meeting SLA’s and ensuring accuracy. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.

No supervision is necessary for the work undertaken, with feedback given at regular Resource meetings.

RPA Specifics  - Blue Prism, Advanced Excel, Visual Basic, Advanced Visio, HTML, Advanced Word, PowerPoint  

.NET Specifics - Visual Studio, OCR

Minimum Qualifications

Four-year college degree and 4 years, or a high school diploma with 6+ years of professional experience in coding, designing, developing and

analysing data, as well as an understanding of scheduling within a control room environment.

Bachelor's Degree  - Computer Science, Management Information

Systems, Business or related field; or equivalent training or experience in lieu of degree.

Preferred Qualifications

Typically Minimum 6 Years relevant Exp - IBM Rational Tools, Scripting knowledge, bankcard industry knowledge, understanding data structures, professional experience working with end-users to meet business needs.
