Job Summary 

Specialize in the design and implementation  of automated virtualization and container platforms, deployment pipelines, and cloud-ready application architectures. The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for a Senior Container Infrastructure Consultant to join us. In this role, you will learn to design and guide implementations of Red Hat OpenShift infrastructure projects to include virtualization and container technologies. You won't be expected to know everything on day one, but your ability to learn new technology will be essential. This is a remote role based in London, UK, requiring the ability to travel to customer sites across the UK and EMEA region as needed.

What You Will Do

  • Implement automated, hybrid cloud application platform solutions focusing on infrastructure concerns including networking, storage, virtualization, security, logging, monitoring, high availability, and system resilience. 
  • Build production-ready container and virtualization platforms integrated with existing enterprise systems.
  • Implement complex, large-scale container platform solutions in various  customer environments.  
  • Deliver expertise in container orchestration, registries, build strategies, cloud storage, and software-defined networks. Support customers’ success with Red Hat technologies and concepts including Kubernetes, OpenShift, OpenShift Virtualization, DevOps, and GitOps practices.
  • Collaborate  alongside  financial services, retail, telecommunications, and public sector clients. 
  • Ensure the successful, collaborative delivery of customer requirements using Red Hat OpenShift.
  • Mentor fellow consultants on DevOps and GitOps paired with container technologies, while contributing lessons learned and best practices to internal and external communities of practice.

What You Will Bring

  • Experience leading modern cloud platform consulting engagements 
  • Experience as a strategic advisor to senior IT and business executives.
  • Practical experience working within Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel to customer locations across London, the UK, and EMEA 
  • Nice to Have: Technical experience with VMware ESXi software, including vCenter, vSan, NSX.
  • Fluency in English required.
