The Team You'll Join

Our Commercial Finance team in Bath partners closely with revenue-generating functions across Future's global media portfolio. Based in our Bath head office on a hybrid basis, we deliver financial stewardship, strategic reporting, and commercial guidance. You'll join a new B2C Marketing finance unit focused on building investment frameworks and evaluating campaign effectiveness. This supportive team connects financial insights with brand strategy to guide long-term growth across our digital subscription brands.

What you'll do

Reporting to the Commercial Finance Director: Brands in Bath, you'll act as the primary commercial finance partner to our B2C Marketing leadership team. You'll help establish a data-driven investment framework to evaluate marketing returns, customer acquisition costs, and lifetime value across subscription channels. In this role, you'll bridge commercial finance and marketing operations to ensure investment aligns with strategic priorities.

On a daily basis, you'll track marketing spend, manage monthly performance reporting, and build reporting dashboards in tools like Excel, Power BI, or Looker. You'll partner with Brand and Subscriptions Finance teams to evaluate campaign ROI, customer retention metrics, and long-range budgeting.

  • Act as primary finance partner to Marketing leadership, delivering constructive commercial insight and strategic planning support.
  • Build data-driven marketing investment frameworks to evaluate campaign effectiveness, acquisition costs, and customer lifetime value.
  • Oversee monthly financial reporting, spend tracking, and long-term budget forecasting across marketing channels.
  • Partner with Brand, Commercial, and Subscriptions Finance teams to align marketing spend with overall commercial strategy.
  • Develop reporting dashboards and financial tools to improve visibility of marketing ROI and retention metrics.
  • Evaluate marketing investment options across brands to optimize commercial returns and support subscription growth.

What you’ll bring

  • Demonstrable experience in commercial finance, marketing investment analysis, or commercial business partnering.
  • Ability to build financial frameworks, reporting tools, or analytics dashboards from the ground up.
  • Understanding of subscription business models, customer acquisition costs (CAC), and lifetime value (LTV) metrics.
  • Proficiency with financial modelling and data tools like Excel, Power BI, Looker, or Tableau.
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to build positive working relationships across marketing and finance teams.
  • Recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent practical commercial experience.

Minimum Requirements

  • Commercial finance experience analysing marketing spend, campaign ROI, or commercial performance datasets.
  • Experience building financial models, forecasts, or reporting dashboards using tools like Excel or Power BI.
  • Ability to work from our Bath head office on a hybrid basis.

The expected range for this role is £50,000 - £60,000

This is a hybrid role, working 2 days per week from our Bath Office.
