Description

With a combined technical and commercial background in developing clean energy propositions, be able to help develop and benchmark the Carbon Clean project offering versus competitors in both the ‘carbon capture to storage’ and ‘carbon capture to utilisation’ markets.

Your key focus will be:

  • Commercial project development: Be able to internally business partner with process engineering, sales application engineering and corporate development to help develop projects and provide the fundamental analysis framework that needs to be assessed early. Supporting others in driving tasks and projects to completion. Develop external relationships with Management Consultants and Project Developers to quantify competitiveness of the Carbon Clean offering and work to support commercial structures.
  • Customer Engagement: Work with Customers to efficiently obtain accurate and informative utility data that can quickly populate the very latest picture on a projects’ assumed feasibility. Be a key point of engagement and a conduit to other internal functions that can help build relationships at the project-levell.
  • Research: Be able to, in conjunction with the Line Manager, to build up and hold a ‘delivery partner playbook’ repository for the Growth Team. Comprising of live data of the company’s value chain partners, their latest partnerships, development roadmaps and their engagement model with Carbon Clean.
  • Strategic Focus: Be able to fully understand, from a technical perspective, where the mandates of key infrastructure financiers are best placed to invest in the clean technology sector.
  • Growth Planning: Shape the mandate of the Marketing Insights Team to identify and assess prime sites for carbon capture projects, encouraging effective workflows that can help the Customer Growth Team applications for public and privately funded income sources.
  • Carbon Dioxide Removal Verification – As part of the Companies’ growing carbon credits strategy,prospect and identify key buyers, brokers, issuance and veritifaction bodies for carbon credits, with knowledge of voluntary carbon credits, offtake strategies, carbon finance, and climate solution technologies.
  • Strategic Partnerships – Establish and manage industry partners to develop alliances and promote the adoption of captured CO2 throughout the midstream value chain.
Requirements

To be successful in this role you should will ideally have a combination of the below knowledge, skills, and experience:

  • Previous experience of commercial roles held within the energy sector
  • Project development experience
  • Knowledge of project financing, scenario modelling and investment analysis.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies in CCUS area, including e-fuel production, biomass to carbon credits and integrated refinery decarbonisation.
  • Powerpoint presentation skills.
  • Have a broad knowledge the latest marketing/regulation/policy information received from the stakeholders
  • Critical & analytical commercial thinking to help develop strategies
  • Showcase behavioural traits of high energy, a growth mindset, being detail-orientated, a problem-solver, with strong communication and leadership potential.
