The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Senior Client Payroll Executive to join our growing Client Payroll team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys combining technical expertise with people development. You'll play a vital role in supporting payroll operations, mentoring team members, and ensuring our customers receive an exceptional payroll service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide payroll expertise and support across a portfolio of payroll clients.

  • Support and mentor Client Payroll Trainees and Administrators.

  • Act as a subject matter expert on payroll legislation and compliance.

  • Assist with complex payroll processing and query resolution.

  • Ensure payrolls are processed accurately and delivered on time.

  • Support quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Build strong working relationships with internal teams and customers.

  • Contribute to maintaining excellent service standards across the payroll function.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience working in a payroll environment.

  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, tax, National Insurance, statutory payments, and compliance requirements.

  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.

  • Experience coaching, mentoring, or supporting junior colleagues.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A proactive and customer-focused approach.

Desirable Skills
  • Experience working within a bureau or managed payroll environment.

  • Knowledge of payroll software systems.

  • Experience managing complex payroll cases or escalated queries.

  • Payroll qualifications or relevant professional certifications.
