Tesco Media

Tesco Media is the ultimate media partner to brands. Built on unrivalled customer insight, it’s a media owner with soul, scale, and storytelling power. Tesco Media helps brands and agencies connect meaningfully with customers, drive creative effectiveness, and grow at the point of purchase.

About the Role

We’re looking for a talented Senior Client Partner who expects more from their career. This is an opportunity to take ownership of key client relationships, building and selling compelling media solutions while helping clients get more value from their investment.

You’ll combine a consultative approach with strong commercial instincts, understanding your clients’ business challenges and translating them into relevant online and offline media solutions. You’ll be accountable for driving revenue and sustainable commercial growth, while making sure the work we deliver genuinely addresses client needs.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be at the heart of our client relationships, creating opportunities, shaping media plans and bringing together colleagues from across Tesco Media to deliver excellent work.

  • Own and grow client relationships, developing a deep understanding of clients, their categories and priorities to identify opportunities for stronger partnerships.
  • Create compelling advertising solutions powered by first-party data, working with Media Planning to turn briefs into high-quality, effective responses.
  • Drive commercial performance, proactively developing your sales pipeline, forecasting accurately and working towards ambitious quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Pitch with confidence, developing and presenting proposals and business cases that connect client challenges with the right media solutions.
  • Bring teams together, collaborating with retailer stakeholders and colleagues across Strategy, Enablement and other specialist teams to bring relevant thinking, market developments and new opportunities to your clients.
What We’re Looking For

You’ll bring a strong commercial mindset and the confidence to own complex senior client relationships. You’ll be equally comfortable developing a strategic partnership, responding to a brief and spotting the next commercial opportunity.

  • Sales and account management experience, ideally gained within retail, CPG, media, advertising or a closely related environment.
  • Strong understanding of digital advertising and media sales, with experience in a media agency, brand, ad tech, retailer or retail media network particularly relevant.
  • Proven client leadership, with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder groups and build productive internal and external relationships.
  • Commercial judgement, including developing sales pipelines, accurate forecasting, negotiation and delivering against challenging targets.
  • Confident communication and presentation skills, combined with a consultative approach that gets to the heart of a client’s business needs and translates them into relevant solutions.
You’ll Thrive If You…

This role will suit someone who enjoys combining relationship-building with commercial ownership and can keep momentum in a fast-moving environment.

  • Take a customer-first approach while remaining focused on commercial outcomes.
  • Build trust quickly and enjoy developing deeper, longer-term client partnerships.
  • Stay adaptable as priorities, client needs and the wider media landscape change.
  • Enjoy collaborating with others and helping colleagues succeed, including supporting the day-to-day work of Media Executives or Associates where appropriate.
