At 8x8, Senior Channel Sales Engineers are vital technical sales resources with strong technical knowledge, industry and channel experience, and proven sales acumen. Partner SEs are crucial in building and maintaining strong relationships with our channel partners by providing technical expertise, support, and enablement. The Partner SE will work closely with sales, product, and engineering teams to ensure our partners are equipped to succeed with our solutions.

Working closely with direct and channel sellers, Partner SEs must be able to technically qualify opportunities and clearly explain and position 8x8 products to technical and non-technical audiences. They will work closely with the 8x8 Channel organization and the resellers' sales teams to help them provide qualifications, product positioning, advanced demonstrations, and technical answers to their prospects and customers. 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with 8x8 partners to understand their business needs and design tailored solutions using 8x8 CX Solutions.

  • Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations to showcase the value and capabilities of our products.

  • Provide industry, technical, and product knowledge to 8x8 partners and customers.

  • Develop and maintain an expert understanding of all 8x8 applications and products.

  • Assist partners in developing technical proposals and RFP responses to meet customer requirements.

  • Provide training and enablement sessions to partners to ensure they deeply understand the 8x8 CX solutions.

  • Serve as partners' primary technical point of contact, addressing inquiries and resolving technical challenges.

  • Work with internal teams to provide feedback on product enhancements and feature requests based on partner input.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitive landscape to effectively position our solutions.

  • Represent 8x8 at conferences, industry, and sales/channel events when requested.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in a sales engineering or technical consulting role, preferably in the cloud communications or customer engagement industry (CCaaS, CPaaS, CX).

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills focused on needs analysis, positioning, business justification, and closing techniques.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Ability to travel up to 25% - 40% of the time within the region to accommodate resell partner events, meetups, and/or customer engagements.
