As a Senior Category Manager within the Technology Procurement team, you will be responsible for building deep expertise within technology categories to drive value and cost savings from our supply chain.

A role you will love 
 

We are looking for an experienced and accomplished individual to take on this role, to be responsible for providing procurement support, negotiating with third-party suppliers for all technology goods and services across all Computershare global locations. With technology investment accelerating across the business, this is a great moment to join our team and help shape how we partner with the market.
 

One of the most important parts of your role is helping to make Computershare more attractive for suppliers to do business with and steer Computershare Technology Procurement towards becoming a source of competitive advantage, innovation and risk management in addition to operational and cost control.

Other key responsibilities: 

  • Lead cross-functional and/or cross-regional initiatives to develop and execute category strategies and management plan for assigned categories.

  • Drive continuous improvement mindset within the responsible category/categories.

  • Directly engage with suppliers on multiple levels (conduct negotiations, select suppliers, and administer contracts, define a set of supplier performance KPIs and proactively hold performance dialogues).
  • Build strong and lasting relationship with business stakeholders (drive alignment with key stakeholders on category and sourcing strategies, drive overall reduction in total cost of ownership).
     

What will you bring to the role? 
 

We are looking for an experienced individual to take on this role, ideally coming from a procurement background in Technology & Financial Services. 

Relationship building is key in this role, as you will be working closely with senior stakeholders, the wider technology teams, and our vendors. You will need to be a strong decision maker; you will work with the team and stakeholders to make business critical decisions while listening to everyone’s inputs. 

Some other key skills that you’ll have: 
 

  • Expert knowledge of Category strategies (for technology goods and services) and the associated supplier landscape.
  • Previously developed and implemented global Category strategies in alignment with business.
  • Previously operated as a technology Category Procurement Manager in a global organisation, managing complex supplier portfolios.
  • Broad knowledge and awareness of relevant legislative and regulatory requirements as well as understanding of standard contractual terms and conditions to mitigate risk.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills. 
  • Highly experienced in solving complex problems and scenario modelling with multiple data sources and inputs
