As a Senior Category Manager within the Technology Procurement team, you will play a key role in shaping Computershare’s global technology supplier strategy across areas including AI, SaaS, infrastructure and enterprise platforms.

Partnering closely with senior technology and business stakeholders, you will lead complex commercial negotiations, influence strategic investment decisions, and help drive major technology transformation initiatives across the organisation.

A role you will love

We are looking for an experienced and accomplished individual to take on this role to lead strategic sourcing and commercial engagements with third party technology suppliers across all Computershare global locations. With technology investment and transformation accelerating across the business, this is an exciting opportunity to help shape how we engage the market and partner with strategic suppliers globally.

One of the most important parts of your role is helping to make Computershare more attractive for suppliers to do business with and steer Computershare Technology Procurement towards becoming a source of competitive advantage, innovation and risk management in addition to operational and cost control.

Other key responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional and/or cross-regional initiatives to develop and execute category strategies and management plan for assigned categories.
  • Drive continuous improvement mindset within the responsible category/categories.
  • Lead supplier engagements, commercial negotiations and contract execution activities across strategic technology categories.
  • Build strong and lasting stakeholder relationships to drive alignment on category strategies, sourcing approaches and commercial outcomes

What will you bring to the role?

We are looking for an experienced individual to take on this role, with experience in technology procurement, ideally within a global and/or regulated environment.

Success in this role will require strong stakeholder engagement, commercial judgement and the ability to operate effectively across technology, business and supplier environments.

Some other key skills that you’ll have:

  • Strong knowledge of technology category management, sourcing strategies and supplier landscapes.
  • Previously developed and implemented global Category strategies in alignment with business.
  • Previously operated as a technology Category Procurement Manager in a global organisation, managing complex supplier portfolios.
  • Broad knowledge and awareness of relevant legislative and regulatory requirements as well as understanding of standard contractual terms and conditions to mitigate risk.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
  • Highly experienced in solving complex problems and scenario modelling with multiple data sources and inputs
