The role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Brand Manager to join our team, supporting the development, governance and enablement of our global brand across a complex, federated organisation. Sitting at the centre of the business, in the Corporate Affairs division, the Group Brand team partners with stakeholders across regions and functions to ensure the brand is consistently applied, strategically evolved and effectively enabled at scale. This role will play a key part in managing and evolving core areas of the brand, with particular focus on governance, resources and platforms.

What you’ll be doing

Brand governance and enablement

  • Support the implementation and evolution of the global brand framework across the organisation

  • Partner with stakeholders across regions and business units to drive effectiveness and commercially practical brand application

  • Help manage governance processes, approvals and brand compliance initiatives

Brand identity and guidance

  • Support the ongoing development and management of brand identity systems, guidelines and standards

  • Maintain and evolve brand guidance to reflect organisational needs, digital requirements and emerging technologies

  • Work closely with internal and external creative partners to ensure high-quality execution across touchpoints

Stakeholder management

  • Build strong relationships across the organisation, acting as a trusted advisor on brand-related matters

  • Influence stakeholders at varying levels of seniority within a matrixed, global business

  • Collaborate closely with Design, Content, Marketing, Communications, Operations and external agency partners

Who we’re looking for

Essential skills

  • Operational mindset with strong project management skills

  • Balanced approach to strategic thinking and practical delivery

  • Ability to collaborate confidently with creative specialists, providing informed feedback and direction

Desired attributes

  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the initiative to identify opportunities and drive progress independently

  • Curious and forward-thinking, with an interest in evolving brand practices, technologies and AI-enabled tools and ways of working

  • Collaborative and approachable, with the ability to build strong relationships within the team and throughout the business

  • Strong critical thinker, with a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset

  • Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams effectively

  • Comfortable working with ambiguity, able to adapt to evolving priorities

  • Commercially aware, with an understanding of how the brand supports broader business objectives

Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal English, with the ability to communicate information clearly

  • Good numeracy skills, with confidence working with figures or data relevant to the role

What do we offer in return?

A career that you define. At Howden, we value diversity – there is no one Howden type. Instead, we’re looking for individuals who share the same values as us:

  • Our successes have all come from someone brave enough to try something new

  • We support each other in the small everyday moments and the bigger challenges

  • We are determined to make a positive difference at work and beyond

Reasonable adjustments

We're committed to providing reasonable accommodations at Howden to ensure that our positions align well with your needs.  Besides the usual adjustments such as software, IT, and office setups, we can also accommodate other changes such as flexible hours* or hybrid working*.

If you're excited by this role but have some doubts about whether it’s the right fit for you, send us your application – if your profile fits the role’s criteria, we will be in touch to assist in helping to get you set up with any reasonable adjustments you may require.

*Not all positions can accommodate changes to working hours or locations. Reach out to your Recruitment Partner if you want to know more.
