Our team of highly skilled and hardworking specialists deliver innovative solutions to the complex challenges our clients face.

Our company is split into two business areas:

Job Description

We have an exciting Senior Bid Manager opportunity within our Infrastructure Services division, working with some of the country's largest network operators and private sector clients.

Are you interested in driving the clean energy transition? The UK is rapidly moving towards new energy solutions that are greener and less carbon-intensive. Our team delivers the engineering, construction, and maintenance of these critical energy infrastructure systems. In this role, you will be pivotal in shaping and winning the bids that enable these systems to fuel businesses, keep homes warm, and support sustainable energy generation.

Are you passionate about improving the water quality of our rivers? We are committed to enhancing the UK’s water systems through clean and dirty water infrastructure upgrades. We design, install, repair, and commission solutions that address the challenges of an increasing population and changing climate. As a Senior Bid Manager, you will lead complex submissions that directly impact the quality of clean water for homes and businesses, reduce flooding during heavy rainfall, and protect our natural environment.

We are interested in hearing from candidates who:

  • Have extensive experience in bid management within construction, engineering, or major infrastructure projects

  • Possess exceptional writing skills and the ability to craft compelling, client-focused submissions

  • Are adept at leading multi-disciplinary teams and driving collaboration across functions

  • Have a proven track record of managing end-to-end bid processes, ideally on high-value or complex projects

  • Bring strategic thinking and the ability to articulate clear win themes and value propositions

  • Are passionate about shaping the future of energy and water systems through innovative infrastructure solutions

Key Responsibilities:
As a senior member of the work-winning function, you will provide leadership and oversight to the bid process, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality, winning submissions. You will be responsible for:

  • Leading and facilitating bid strategy sessions, kick-off meetings, workshops, and senior review panels

  • Interpreting client requirements and translating them into winning strategies and compliant responses

  • Coaching, mentoring, and developing junior bid managers and writers within the team

  • Overseeing the production of compelling, well-structured responses that differentiate our offering

  • Working closely with directors, subject matter experts, and delivery teams to define win themes and value propositions

  • Managing multiple complex bids simultaneously, ensuring consistency, compliance, and quality

  • Engaging with live projects to gather insight and evidence for persuasive case studies and success stories

Join us at United Infrastructure today and be part of our mission to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions to the complex infrastructure needs of the UK.
