Senior BI Analyst
Location: High Wycombe
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday

As a Senior BI Analyst, you'll lead the design and delivery of high-quality reports, dashboards and analysis that help teams across operations, customer services, finance and commercial functions make better decisions.
You'll combine strong Power BI, Fabric and analytical expertise with the ability to understand business needs, turn them into clear information products and communicate complex findings to senior stakeholders. Acting as a technical lead within the BI team, you'll also mentor business colleagues, promote best practice and help ensure our reporting delivers measurable business value.
Your core responsibilities:
• Design and deliver management reports, dashboards and analysis for stakeholders across Biffa.
• Lead BI and reporting projects from requirements and design through to implementation and adoption.
• Partner with business teams to understand challenges, define meaningful measures and identify opportunities to create value.
• Present complex analysis clearly to senior stakeholders, highlighting critical issues, trends and opportunities.
• Create and enhance Power BI products and Fabric data models that are accurate, intuitive, performant and trusted.
• Drive effective use of BI products through stakeholder engagement, training, usage monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Act as a technical specialist within the BI team, reviewing outputs and mentoring and supporting other business teams.
• Keep up to date with Microsoft data technologies, software developments and BI best practice.
Our essential requirements:
• 5+ years’ experience in a business-facing BI, reporting or analytical role.
• Advanced experience developing reports, dashboards and semantic models in Power BI.
• Proven success leading and delivering BI or management information projects.
• Strong SQL, data modelling and analytical skills, including experience working with Fabric.
• Experience eliciting business requirements and translating them into clear technical specifications and valuable information products.
• Ability to interpret complex data and present clear, compelling insights to non-technical and senior audiences.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Experience coaching, mentoring or providing technical guidance to other analysts.
