About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to join our team. This role combines strong technical expertise, leadership, and a passion for cloud technologies.

You will play a key role in automating, optimising, securing, and maintaining Azure environments, while helping drive efficiency, reliability, and innovation across our projects. You will also work closely with development and technical teams to deliver scalable and secure cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Azure infrastructure projects, ensuring best practices across CI/CD, monitoring, security, and cloud operations.
  • Collaborate with development and technical teams to design and implement scalable, secure Azure solutions.
  • Drive the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to improve automation, consistency, and reliability.
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes.
  • Support containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Mentor and support junior DevOps team members, sharing knowledge and promoting continuous improvement.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
  • Stay up to date with the latest Azure services, features, and industry best practices, assessing their relevance to our projects.
  • Contribute to improving cloud security, automation, and operational efficiency across projects.
Essential Skills & Experience

We are looking for candidates with:

  • SC eligibility and the ability to obtain SC clearance.
  • Proven experience working as an Azure DevOps Engineer, with strong hands-on experience across Azure services.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools and practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly:
    • Terraform
    • ARM Templates
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience leading technical projects and working effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Good understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Desirable Skills & Experience

The following would be highly advantageous:

  • Azure DevOps Engineer Expert certification.
  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
  • Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale Azure environments.
  • Experience with cloud security, monitoring, and performance optimisation.
  • Experience mentoring and supporting junior engineers.
