Job Description

Checkout.com is actively looking for a driven and agile Senior Associate, Finance IT Risk and Controls to join our growing Finance team.

As we continue to grow and scale, we’re on the hunt for an experienced IT Audit Professional to join our Finance Risk and Controls team. As the business continues to scale, this role will be instrumental to our in strengthening our internal control environment, monitoring and reporting.

The ideal candidate will be a dedicated, laser-focused and highly organised individual, not shying away from high volume of work. You must be a teammate when it comes to getting the job done and assisting wherever you can.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Support activities to document, challenge and build an end to end view of our application controls to illustrate key IT dependent risks, controls and processes. 

  • You will develop a broad domain and technical understanding of our automated and technology dependent control implementations that help record, maintain and report on customer data related to financial reporting. 

  • Perform testing across key automated or IT dependent business process controls, including assessing the integrity of identified IUCs (Information Used in Control)

  • Support with the compliance and improvement in monitoring of IT General Controls, with a primary focus on Access and Change Management. 

  • Work closely with Finance and IT teams to help guide and deliver on control design improvements. Partner with your lead and stakeholders in Technology to ensure controls are designed to ensure future operational effectiveness.

  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to support IT control testing, providing necessary documentation and addressing audit findings promptly.

  • Support to develop and present reports on the status of IT controls to senior management, highlighting key metrics, control failures, and remediation actions.

  • Keep on track of Finance Risk and Control findings and also monitor the progress for internal and external audit actions to ensure they are completed on time and actions are adequate to mitigate the risks identified. 

Qualifications

What we're looking for

  • Bachelors, masters or Diploma in Technology, Mathematics or related field. Professional qualification such as CISA or equivalent and knowledge of COBIT is a must.

  • 4+ years experience in audit and assurance engagements with a focus on IT General Controls, automated and IT dependent controls. Experience within Financial services or organisations dealing with high volume transactions is a distinctive advantage.

  • You understand the value of taking a balanced approach to risk and controls to support the growth of the business.

  • You work well in a multinational team environment, and know how to have an impact through others.

  • You are keen to learn and develop your knowledge of how a Fintech and fast growing scale-up operates.
