Job Description

Department Overview

Brookfield AI Infrastructure Fund (“BAIIF”) is Brookfield’s latest flagship fund strategy within the Infrastructure team. BAIIF is in the process of raising a $10bn fund with a founder close already completed at $5bn including NVIDIA as an anchor investor.

In October 2025, BAIIF announced a strategic partnership with Bloom Energy Corporation (“Bloom” or the “Company”) to fund up to $5 billion of capital to develop 1 GW of behind-the-meter (“BTM”), low-emissions power generation capacity for AI infrastructure projects (the “Partnership”).

Bloom, headquartered in San Jose with a market cap of more than $80 billion, manufactures modular “energy servers” that convert natural gas or hydrogen into electricity through a high-efficiency electrochemical process without combustion.

Through the Partnership, Brookfield (90%) and Bloom (10%) will jointly fund projects that meet strict investment criteria, including investment-grade offtakes, long-term contracts, and minimum return thresholds.

Brookfield Infrastructure has a team of around 50 professionals in London, with a long history of executing successful investments in a variety of industries and geographies with deep financial and operational turnaround roots.

Responsibilities & Experience Requirements

The role will exclusively focus on managing the Capital Market and Investment requirements of the partnership with Bloom Energy. The Investments professional role will be based out of London and be part of the BAIIF team.

Capital Markets Financing

  • Leading new financing (e.g. upsizing or new standalone facilities)
  • Leading capital markets refinancing of contracts once at COD
  • Implementing hedging strategy

ITC Monetisation

  • Lead tax equity processes
  • Manage ITC transfer process

New Contract Analysis

  • Critical analysis of new contracts being added
  • Liaising with legal counsel and lenders to ensure compatibility with financing docs
  • Support Brookfield on expansion of the Partnership Agreement with Bloom

Other

  • Support Brookfield on co-invest process
  • Waiver / amendment requests
  • Maintaining existing and sourcing new debt lenders
  • MSA and lender model management

In summary, the role will be integral in all aspects of deal structuring, deal execution, lender / investor relationship management, as well as various ad hoc projects.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience predominately in investment banking (debt advisory or capital markets preferred), private credit, direct lending, or similar role
  • Direct experience in origination, structuring and execution of debt transactions in the infrastructure and energy sector
  • Must have experience of leading a US energy finance transaction including tax equity structures
  • Team-oriented with a demonstrated commitment to shared success above any personal accomplishment or recognition
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage priorities and meet timelines
  • Proactive self-starter who can handle pressure effectively and has experience working with senior management teams
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) with a strength in dealing with a wide variety of individuals at various levels within and outside of the organization
  • Significant transactional experience, including familiarity with debt documentation and funding
  • Strong intellectual curiosity for the subject matter, analytical skills and creative problem-solving ability
  • Impeccable integrity and trustworthiness with the desire to lead a transaction
  • A professional, positive, and curious attitude
