JOB SUMMARY
Senior Tax Analyst reporting to the VP-Tax responsible for tax compliance, tax provision, and
various ad hoc tax planning and analysis projects with other members of the tax team.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES :
Tax Compliance:
- Prepare and/or review of U.S. Federal, state, and other country income tax
returns and information filings
- Prepare Bermuda substance-based tax credit and other country tax credit
calculations, including compilation and review of compensation and expense
data and preparation of spreadsheets and other documentation
- Prepare and/or review of Bermuda corporate income tax returns and tax credit
claim form
- Collaborate with external service providers
- Assist tax leadership in resolving tax controversy matters
- Computation and recording of income tax return provision to return true-up
calculations
- Enhance and maintain tax basis and other tax attribute calculations
Income Tax Accounting:
- Prepare portions of the group consolidated global income tax provision which
includes the following:
- US GAAP basis tax provision preparation or review on an entity-by-entity
basis utilizing Corptax tax provision software
- Tax account analysis and reconciliation
- Deferred tax asset realizability analysis and modeling
- Preparation and assistance with tax disclosures for SEC, NAIC and local
financial reporting
- Maintenance of the internal control documentation
- Interactions with internal and external auditors and tax advisors
- Preparation or review of tax and tax credit forecast computations
- Collaboration with the corporate and local accounting and finance
functions throughout the quarterly close process
- Preparation or review of separate company tax provisions under various
- local accounting guidance
Tax Planning and Analysis:
- Assist senior tax team members in the following areas
- Tax research
- Transfer pricing analysis and documentation
- Research, analysis, and modeling related to business initiatives
• Effectively use IT systems and applications in the continued automation of tax function
processes and computations

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- College degree in Accounting
- 5 years of corporate or public accounting tax experience or 8 years of accounting and
finance experience, preferably in the insurance and reinsurance industry
- Proficient with IT systems including tax return and tax provision software, GL accounting
systems, Wdesk, and Microsoft Office
- Masters in Tax or CPA/Chartered Accountant a plus
