The Role

The Learning and Development Associate supports the planning, organization, and delivery of all learning at MarketAxess. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates who have completed a master’s degree and are looking to begin or further their careers in learning and development or have previous experience in a related field.

In this role, you will partner with leadership to manage the full execution of learning and development activities. You’ll ensure operational excellence and a seamless experience for facilitators and participants. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to confidently facilitate sessions and drive outcomes that support the growth and development of our people.

How You'll Help Take Us There

  • Perform end-to-end coordination and scheduling of live training sessions and professional development activities
    • Ensure program information is on the LMS accurately and in a timely manner
    • Manage and track invitations, pre-work completion, and post-work distribution as required
    • Monitor attendance, collect feedback, and generate reports about program effectiveness
    • Provide logistical support globally for both in-person and virtual learning events, ensuring facilitators and participants have all materials, session information
    • Communicate with vendors and participants to ensure smooth program execution
  • Stay current on best practices in learning, leadership development, and learning technologies
  • Contribute to the evolution of our learning culture by promoting learning initiatives through marketing, internal communications, and creative engagement methods
  • Partner with the HR Ops team optimize the learning management systems (LMS) to ensure a good learner experience and drive operational efficiencies
  • Maintain accurate learning records and provide regular updates to leadership
  • Analyze data and drive operational efficiencies
  • Adapt to changing schedules and priorities with flexibility and resilience
  • Help identify and cultivate partnerships with new vendors to expand our learning solutions and drive organizational growth

What We’re Looking for  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Psychology or related field with 1+ years of experience in learning and development or a related field
  • Masters or advanced degree in I/O Psychology or Human Resources preferred
  • Demonstrated interest in building a career in learning and talent development, with a passion for helping others grow and succeed
  • Ability to think on your feet and solve problems quickly and effectively
  • Exposure to artificial intelligence is an advantage, including experience integrating AI into learning initiatives or supporting organizational efforts to build AI literacy
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Familiarity with learning management systems and digital learning tools is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, CoPilot, Excel, PowerPoint)
