About the Role:
We're searching for a Financial Regulatory Reporting Analyst to join Finance team in Dublin. You will be responsible for supporting the periodic regulatory reporting to CBI, and the daily regulatory accounting operations of Remitly's entities. You will leverage experience in accounting, regulatory reporting and data analytics in ensuring regulatory compliance requirements are managed and completed efficiently and effectively. You'll accomplish this through partnering with the global finance and engineering teams.
You Will:
Safeguarding & Regulatory Reporting
- Prepare daily customer funds safeguarding reconciliations following local regulatory requirements, ensuring internal controls and data quality checks are complete.
- Prepare regulatory returns for submission to the regulators.
- Investigate uncategorised exceptions and data anomalies, proposing and documenting resolutions to data quality issues.
- Maintain working knowledge of applicable safeguarding obligations (e.g. PSD2) and the regulatory reporting frameworks across Remitly's regulated entities.
Data & Systems
- Develop deep expertise in data flows from upstream systems through to regulatory reporting outputs, becoming a subject matter expert on reporting data architecture.
- Partner with Engineering to build, re-engineer, and improve regulatory reporting workflows and automation.
- Identify gaps in existing reporting infrastructure and propose structured, scalable solutions to improve efficiency and control.
- Help standardise and document financial reporting processes to support business continuity and regulatory scale.
Compliance & Continuous Improvement
- Support new licensing processes — contributing to financial roadmap inputs, regulatory reporting system design, and policy and process documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects and cross-functional finance projects.
- Maintain accurate records and audit trails to support internal and external audit requirements.
You Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3+ years' experience in a regulated financial services environment.
- Hands-on experience with financial reconciliations and regulatory/management reporting.
- Working knowledge of safeguarding regimes such as PSD2 and payment institution regulatory obligations.
- Strong data quality and integrity principles; methodical investigative approach.
- Strong IT skills, including intermediate to advanced Excel.
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience in a CBI-regulated entity, payment institution, or e-money firm
- Working knowledge of SQL and data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker)
- Familiarity with AI productivity tooling (e.g. Claude) for financial analysis workflows
- Experience contributing to process improvement or automation projects
- Exposure to safeguarding reconciliation processes or regulatory return preparation
Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically €64,000 – €80,000. In Ireland, Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
