As our firm continues to grow, we're expanding our Global Finance team and are looking for a Senior Accountant Partner Finance to join us in a newly created role focused on shaping the future of our Partner Finance function.

This is an opportunity to work at the heart of a global professional services business, supporting partner remuneration, capital management, financial control, and strategic improvement initiatives. You'll build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, contribute to business-critical projects, and help drive efficiencies across a function that plays a vital role in our success.

What you'll be doing

  • Maintaining robust financial controls, reconciliations, governance, and compliance activities.

  • Working directly with partners and senior stakeholders on sensitive financial matters.

  • Identifying and delivering process improvements as part of our ongoing project agendas.

  • Contributing to finance transformation and system enhancement initiatives while ensuring excellent day-to-day delivery.

  • Coaching colleagues and sharing knowledge within a collaborative team environment.

What we're looking for

We're interested in the skills, potential, and mindset you'll bring, not just your previous job titles.

You'll likely have:

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification (or be nearing completion).

  • Strong accounting, financial control, and reconciliation experience.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive and commercially important information.

  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders and explaining complex financial concepts clearly.

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Previous Partnership Finance, legal, or professional services experience can be beneficial, but we also welcome candidates from other complex, regulated, or stakeholder-focused environments who can demonstrate transferable skills and experience.

Why join us?

At Freshfields, you'll be part of a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive culture where people are encouraged to learn, develop, and make an impact.

You'll benefit from:

  • Exposure to senior partners and influential business leaders.

  • The opportunity to become a specialist in Partner Finance within a global organisation.

  • Genuine opportunities for professional growth and career progression.

  • A team that values knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and innovation.

  • The chance to influence how we improve processes, systems, and ways of working.

  • A workplace where diverse perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds are welcomed, respected, and celebrated.

Inclusion

Freshfields is an equal opportunities employer and all applications received by the firm will be considered by the firm on the basis of their merit alone and we welcome applications from all suitably qualified individuals regardless of background. All offers of employment will be conditional on the candidate having/securing the right to work in the UK and providing the firm with evidence of that right (as required by the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006) prior to employment commencing.

Freshfields is a Ban the Box employer. We ask applicants to disclose criminal convictions only when a conditional job offer is made. A conviction does not automatically lead to withdrawal of the offer: we make decisions on a case by case basis and take a number of factors into account (eg the role you are applying for and the circumstances of the offence). You would have the opportunity to discuss the matter with us before we make a decision.
