We’re looking for a Senior Account Manager to join our Sales team. The Senior Account Manager will report directly to the Director of Sales UK.

SENIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER

What You’ll Do:

  • Consistently exceed revenue targets through strategic sales and account management efforts, aligning with broader commercial objectives.
  • Cultivate relationships in managed accounts, aiming to elevate them to the Regional/Enterprise level or identify opportunities for MSAs across the global portfolio.
  • Drive new revenue growth by capitalising on opportunities in the experiential events market.
  • Serve as a go-to expert on Convene product offerings, including meetings and technology solutions, and translate product features into functional client solutions.
  • Maintain an engaging sales presence, both in person and virtually.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of competitors, articulating the Convene story and differentiation.
  • Grow demand through strategic account development, expanding your network of contacts, and building long-term relationships.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Convene products and locations, contributing to local and regional brand building.
  • Understand the local, regional, and global business plan to ensure personal targets align with overall sales objectives.
  • Share market intelligence and industry trends with the Senior Leadership team.
  • Conduct and coordinate site inspections, virtual tours, client meetings, and quarterly business reviews for key accounts.
  • Discover and build relationships with new decision-makers, while nurturing current and prospective clients and referral partners.
  • Respond rapidly to client inquiries and maintain up-to-date account details for key accounts.
  • Negotiate and close agreements, adhering to internal pricing guidelines while ensuring client specifications are met.
  • Stay informed of competitive landscape and maintain relationships with industry counterparts.
  • Attend trade shows, networking sessions, and events to prospect for new business.
  • Exceed budgeted financial goals for both quarterly and annual targets.
  • Cultivate relationships with allocated key accounts through consultative sales efforts to achieve and surpass commercial goals.
  • Own and manage a portfolio of accounts based on location, volume, and spend.
  • Target and secure new business to increase market share across the global portfolio of brands and products.
  • Secure repeat business from allocated accounts, ensuring long-term client satisfaction and retention.

What We Look For:

  • 5+ years of experience in a commercial role within the UK meetings and events industry
  • Proven track record in selling to London’s corporate and agency markets
  • Knowledge of experiential events across business and consumer markets
  • Exceptional networking abilities and relationship-building sales skills
  • Capable of working independently while thriving in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
