We’re seeking a Senior Account Manager - Meetings to join our Sales team. The Senior Account Manager - Meetings will report directly to the Head of Meeting and Event Sales.

Please note: candidate must currently reside in the UK and be able to work in the UK without sponsorship.

As a Senior Account Manager at Convene, you will be responsible for building on the Convene and etc.venues by Convene brand developing business relationships, and driving revenue across all properties in the global portfolio. This will be in alignment with the company's growth strategy. We are looking for someone who can effectively uncover new opportunities, engage with our clients, and build meaningful relationships.

What You’ll Do:

  • Maintain extensive knowledge of the Convene Portfolio and products while building the brand at local, regional, and global levels to ensure alignment with sales targets and overall growth objectives
  • Aggregate key account data and market insights, ensuring trends and feedback are communicated to the Senior Leadership team to inform strategic decision-making
  • Coordinate and lead site inspections, FAM tours, virtual demos, pitches, and account development meetings to drive client engagement and support sales strategy
  • Discover new decision-makers and prospects through networking, trade shows, and local events, while maintaining and growing existing client relationships
  • Generate, negotiate and close agreements to client specifications while adhering to internal pricing guidelines
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of competitive set and relationships with counterparts
  • Reach and exceed budgeted goals for financial quarters and commercial year
  • Proactively manage and nurture client relationships by responding to inquiries, maintaining up-to-date account details, and driving repeat business through consultative sales efforts
  • Own and cultivate a portfolio of key accounts, sourcing new business and targeting opportunities to increase market share across the global portfolio of Convene products and brands
  • Optimise client experience and drive revenue growth by enhancing conversion processes, leveraging technology, and identifying upsell opportunities across new and existing business
  • Take ownership over the creation and maintenance of Account Plans within your allocation to map out organisational structure and identify further growth opportunities while also assisting, where required,  more Junior Sales team members in the creation of these
  • Negotiate and execute strategic agreements (MSAs) and collaborate with leadership teams to develop scalable pricing solutions that support the growth and revenue strategy of Convene’s portfolio
  • When applicable, partner with Strategic Meetings Management Firms to drive brand awareness with key business influencers

What We Look For: 

  • 5+ years of experience in a commercial role within the UK meetings and events industry
  • Proven track record in selling to London’s corporate and agency markets
  • Exceptional networking abilities and relationship-building sales skills
  • Capable of working independently while thriving in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
