We’ve got a fantastic opportunity to join our motorsports team at Octagon, managing several projects for a new F1 team sponsor. The role will also have a chance to support the wider motorsport account teams as we deliver event activation programmes throughout the season.

Who we’re looking for someone who:

  • Is a focused and performance driven individual, who can think on their feet, use initiative and be comfortable working in a global environment, under pressure and within a team environment.
  • Thrives on working on multiple projects and events at the same time, working to tight deadlines.
  • Can work with multiple inter-agency departments including design, production, finance, legal.
  • Has an interest in motorsport, with a knowledge and understanding of Formula 1, and the commercial landscape.
  • Is proactive and can take on initiatives and drive projects from conception to completion.
  • Enjoys solving problems and finding creative solutions to difficult challenges.
  • Is patient, level-headed and cool under pressure.
  • You have a flexible, ‘can-do’ attitude and can work some weekends and travel internationally where required.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Account Director in the management, administration, and delivery of the client’s VIP motorsports programmes, with a focus on asset, partnership, and supplier management.
  • Delivery of first-class motorsports hospitality experiences for C-level guests at races across the globe:
    • Research, procure, and contracting of third-party suppliers.
    • Management of complex VIP guest programmes and onsite delivery as required throughout the motorsport season including scheduling and supplier management.
    • Event development including (but not limited to) scheduling, logistics, health and safety, insurance, creative production, and briefing documentation providing in-depth brand relevant content and insight.
    • Appropriate handling and communication of guest information and briefing packs.
  • Leading, with support of the Account Director the day-to-day account and global stakeholder management.
  • Financial account management including the creation of budgets, tracking, and reconciliation
  • Account administration, including delivery status documents, client reporting, collateral, brand approvals, merchandise, programme logistics, asset management and travel management.
  • The development and distribution of key stakeholder communications documents, templates, and season activation toolkits, including collateral and gifting.
  • Liaison with team partner and client on development of activation plans and marketing approvals process.
  • Provision of guidance to client ensuring ROI through best use of contractual assets.
  • Line management and development of a direct report providing day to day support and oversight.
  • Provision of industry knowledge of motorsport, sport sponsorship, and the entertainment industry.
  • Collaboration across multiple departments including studio, creative, legal and finance.

  • You’re a natural at building rapport with just about anyone at any level in an organisation.
  • You have the ability to collaborate across disciplines, departments, and client’s additional agency partners.
  • You like helping other people succeed. You enjoy teaching other people something and are a real team player.
  • You enjoy your work taking you to different parts of the world.

You will also need to have:

  • Solid Agency experience working in a similar role, ideally with experience in the motorsports hospitality arena.
  • High level Power Point Skills, Excel and Outlook and a confidence to present internally and externally.

It’s not essential but will be advantageous if:

  • You are fluent in any other languages.
